We were staying overnight in Packwood on a Saturday night in August and had eaten somewhere else earlier but felt like some dessert. I had seen that the Cliff Droppers had ice cream so we walked down the road from where we were staying. We arrived at a few minutes after 7pm. There were people siting at the picnic tables... More

We were starving after a curvy and bumpy trip up to Windy Ridge. Looked for somewhere to eat in Randle, but nothing really appealed to us- headed to Packwood, saw Cliff Droppers, and stopped for lunch. Friendly counter service, good selection of burgers, reasonable prices. A little slow coming out to us, but they were quite busy and are not... More

Great burgers. What more is there to say. The service was good, price was good, just a good no frills burger place.

We really enjoyed the Mushroom Swiss and the Downhill Burgers! Not super greasy which can sometimes be hard to find. Their fries were also good! Way better than expected and they have lots of cool retro/vintage ski memorabilia in the place. Lots of ice cream to choose from if you're still hungry, which we were not :) They offer water... More

This place out in the middle of nowhere...Packwood...probably has some of the best burgers we've ever had...it's almost the worth the 2 hour drive from Portland just to have one of their burgers. We look and look in Portland for good burgers but have yet to find anything that compares to this place now. If you're looking for a place... More

Not too many choices in this town, asked locals where they suggested and they were not wrong. Surprised of the recommendation as we were going somewhere else, but opted to go where suggested. Glad we did.

On our way to Mt. Rainier we stopped for a quick lunch. We each had a bacon burger with french fries and ate every bite. The service was quick and very friendly. They have nice picnic tables outside so we could stay close to our puppy who was waiting for us in the truck while we had our lunch. If... More

The staff takes pride in the food & service. The burgers are fresh and taste incredible, served with fry's. I had a single with cheese think called a "down hill" was very good and made for a nice meal. The service was friendly on a busy Saturday as I think most weekends are. One note they close at 7:00 pm... More

I stopped by Cliff Droppers yesterday after a day of hiking at Mt. Rainier on a hunch. Packwood itself is a pretty dead place, but this place looked busy-always a good sign. I had the double cheese bacon burger with onion rings. Service was quick, and the burger was truly fresh and handcrafted big patties. The owners obviously take great... More

This is handcrafted hamburgers at its best. We agreed to stop and try Cliff Droppers as we were both having serious Burger anxiety. We were not disappointed in the freshness, quality of meal as well as the desire of the staff to make sure we were pleased with our order. There was so much we simply couldn't eat it all... More
