A good choice for dining in Pacific Beach

We have eaten here many times over the years when we visit the area because my husband loves the fried oysters! A bar with a little restaurant on one side for family dining. The menu is actually very good and they have prime rib night on Wesnesdays. I enjoy the Chicken Fried Steak meal. They... read more

A really nice pub menu with lots of choice, great food, reasonable prices, very good service too. Had supper here but would no doubt be very handy for breakfast & lunches too if you are staying in this out-of-the-way part of the Olympic Peninsula. Casual & relaxed.

After a horrendous lunch at Mill 109, we decided to stop by the Sea Gate for a small bite and a couple drinks at dinner time. We ordered fried oysters and fish and chips, which were fairly well done and served promptly. As tavern food goes, we enjoyed our meals and our beverages from the full bar.

I have to say my wife and I were hesitant to try this place out, but I'm glad we did. Very relaxed atmosphere and the food was great. Beckie was running the whole show by herself including waiting tables and bartending. Even when she got slammed and the place was packed she did great. "get spanked" !

My Husband and I stopped here on a Friday evening for a quick dinner as it was under a mile from our rental on the Beach. We were warmly greeted by the Bartender when we walked in and invited to sit wherever we liked. We sat on the bar side and were waited on immediately. Beer was ice cold and... More

The dining room is separated from the bar by a half wall. The dining area only had about 6 tables. The place is very run down. They have a smoking area right next to the dining room, separated from the dining area by a sliding glass door. The place reeked of cigarette smoke that lofted in whenever anyone went in... More

This might be a great place for locals, but the atmosphere is definitely not suited for families with kids. It is basically a small bar and lounge with very run down decor. They have loud music playing and the people we were sitting next to were swearing up a storm. I can't recommend this place unless you really want to... More

This is just your typical dingy bar, but the food is a hidden surprise. I had pizza and my wife had a BLT... Both of us were pleasantly surprised. Very good food and the waitress/bar tender was very attentive. We would go back!

This is the 2nd time that we've got pizza at The Sea Gate and taken back to our hotel. As with the previous visit, it was delicious!!! We tried to use an old pay phone at our hotel to order ahead of time but when he answered, I could hear him but he couldn't hear me. And we had no... More
