The dining room is separated from the bar by a half wall. The dining area only had about 6 tables. The place is very run down. They have a smoking area right next to the dining room, separated from the dining area by a sliding glass door. The place reeked of cigarette smoke that lofted in whenever anyone went in... More

This might be a great place for locals, but the atmosphere is definitely not suited for families with kids. It is basically a small bar and lounge with very run down decor. They have loud music playing and the people we were sitting next to were swearing up a storm. I can't recommend this place unless you really want to... More

This is just your typical dingy bar, but the food is a hidden surprise. I had pizza and my wife had a BLT... Both of us were pleasantly surprised. Very good food and the waitress/bar tender was very attentive. We would go back!

This is the 2nd time that we've got pizza at The Sea Gate and taken back to our hotel. As with the previous visit, it was delicious!!! We tried to use an old pay phone at our hotel to order ahead of time but when he answered, I could hear him but he couldn't hear me. And we had no... More

Kind of scary looking from the outside and not real pretty on the inside but the young man serving us was warm and hospitable and the food was really good and wholesome - try the prime rib dip pictured on the picture above- pleasant surprise!!!

My Wife and I were staying at the Ocean Crest Resort for this recent clam tide. We struck out on our own looking for a dinner spot. Drove past the Seagate and around the "business loop" of Pacific Beach. Not finding any noticeable activity down town, we went back to the Seagate. We sat on the restaurant side. We were... More

We ate at the Sea Gate October 2013. We were not that impressed. It was very run down and smelled horribly of smoke. We ordered breakfast. The food was descent, but not great. The weight staff was very friendly. It took a long time to get our food and it there were only 3 couples in there. I wouldn't go... More

We ate dinner at the Seagate & enjoyed our meal & the experience. We entered on the bar side & were warmly greeted by the bartender/waiter Stoney although we had never been there. We ordered the Alfredo Garlic Chicken & it was delicious! They make their own Alfredo sauce, there was a lot of chicken & cheese & the crust... More

Yes, this place is a dive and looks kind of like a biker bar (the old trailer home on the property does not inspire confidence), but it was recommended by a couple of locals, so we tried it. The food was very good and the beers cold. The menu was surprisingly large and varied. Our waiter, although somewhat scary looking,... More

We arrived about 9 pm on a weekday night for dinner. The atmosphere is very local, and many people at the bar looked like regulars who had started much earlier than we did. However, we sat on the restaurant side and had a friendly and efficient waitress who served a large salad and decent pizza.
