Batdorf and Bronson is a straightforward independent coffee shop. They sell their blends in and around Oly, to different restaurants and coffee stands. Their drip coffee is TOP NOTCH. For my taste, their espresso runs a little smooth, lacking the bite of Starbucks. But no worries, just add an extra shot to any order. Service is TOP NOTCH. Jon, who... More

The first coffee roaster in Olympia, and it soon gained a national reputation. In one of the first articles in the New York Times about the nascent premium coffee roasting industry, the writer kept badgering the head of the national trade association to tell him which of his many members' roasts was his personal favorite. The industry rep obviously didn't... More

There are several locations of B&B as it is known locally around Olympia and the coffee is good. The tasting room is fun to visit with knowledgable staff and tasting options. They do a lot of green in their facilities, and it is fun to learn more about it. They give free used coffee grounds for local gardeners.

This is one busy coffee shop. Located just a few doors down from a Starbucks. Highly recommend it here, my latte was delicious and the leather chairs are super comfy! Will be back soon!

I rated this coffee house excellent even though all we had was a couple cups of drip coffee so hard to evaluate. However, those cups were delicious and the place itself is spacious, well-lighted, and pretty. Coffee to drink there is served in real cups with a free refill.

Friendly independent coffee shop a few steps from the nearest McStarbucks outlet. Nice folks, comfortable space, good coffee.

In a state where coffee is king and there is a coffee shop on every corner, this is a special place. We enjoyed our drinks, mine an Espresso, his latte, while sitting in the overstuffed easy chairs (wish there were more of them). I often come here to spend a rainy afternoon, sipping their wonderful coffee while working on my... More

We got a perfect breakfast. My mom and I were able to get a croissant, scone, iced coffee, and latte for only $11.20! Everything was tasty, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was pleasant and speedy.

Why go to Starbucks, which was full of flies when I looked in yesterday afternoon, when you have this place right next door? Their baristas are expert level. They offer a selection of pastries and quiches. The inside is spacious and comfortable, and there is 2 hours of free wifi (extendable with purchase).
