Great, fresh food! We've had some snooty service in the past, that has been a drawback. Great for couples, not family friendly.

My Husband and I went here to celebrate our valentines. I've been craving for a steak in awhile, and this place definitely exceed my expectations. I ordered fillet mignon and my hubby had an elk steak. The steak were tender, cooked as we want it and just the right amount of portion. Definitely a place to revisit and have a... More

Overpriced, ordinary flavors, undersized portions, erratic hours and days open, superb location. Has amazing potential.

After a number of excellent meals at this Olympia waterfront restaurant, it has become one of my favorite places to dine out. Always quality food, carefully prepared, and with attentive but not intrusive service. Dockside is especially pleasant when conversation with your dinner companion(s) is a priority; it is not noisy and there is not a lot of traffic going... More

We started with Razor clams lightly breaded and sauteed. They were very tender and just melted in your mouth. Really delicious. We also had the Elk Carpacio as an appetizer and it was AMAZING! It reminded me of really excellent beef. Next we had the roasted beet salad with arugula and a fried ball of goat cheese. Really nice. The... More

Dinner last night of oysters, Caesar Salad, and seared scallops was wonderfully prepared and served, and the wine was equally good. Seattle friends, dining for the first time with us at Dockside, raved about the location, decor, and food. We all enjoyed the chance for real conversation without loud music. Dining at Dockside is always a challenge when it comes... More

Went to check it out at 2:30 PM on a weekday afternoon. The clearly posted hours on the door said they should be open, but they were not.

We had to wait a long time for our server. She brought us hot tea, but with only one selection of tea. She also forgot to bring sugar. Had to ask for it and we asked for a refill. Waited 10 minutes and then asked the hostess for it since our waiter was no where in sight. Good was good.... More

Looked up on trip advisor for a good restaurant in Olympia and saw good reviews for Dockside Bistro. Went there for lunch and the food was great, the presentation was very good and I loved the music kind of old school in the 40's. I was surprised how good it was and how empty on a Tuesday lunch. Know that... More
