We've been here several times, and never had a bad dish. They gladly make substitutions, are always friendly, and know their food! Their wait staff's suggestions are always spot on, so trust them!

We always look forward to eating at Dockside! It's absolutely our very favorite in Olympia, and its food, staff and ambiance are above reproach. We trust the wait staff to recommend the best wine pairing with our dinners and we're never disappointed. Their seafood martini is my special favorite! The Dockside's stand our entrees include a unique Bacon, Lettuce and... More

The food we ate last night was so so tasty and the local wine...amazing, the only complaint was the size of the portions, far too big for us........

I opted for the two specials, razor clam starter and miso glazed Copper River coho salmon. The clams were "best ever" and the salmon very nice. The wine list was very well selected (including by the glass). Service good and knowledgable about both food and wine. We were astonished that on a Saturday night, it was not packed. Good value... This northwest seafood-based menu is created by Chef Laurie Wim and she knows her seafood. She also knows her locally-sourced mushrooms and clams so don't hesitate in ordering locally. Good choice of wines and knowledgeable servers although the place could use a bit of a makeover as it is a bit personality-less. I would aim a bit more upscale perhaps... More

Everything here was delicious. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy. The seafood martini was wonderful and they were running a special - free cheese plate with the purchase of a bottle of wine!

Based on their seafood platter, I fail to see the high reviews given by fellow diners. The coating was crisp, but flavorless. My home cooking is better than this. The service was average at best. Eating outside, overlooking the wharf, is a nice experience however. The wine list could use some professional help.

Not sure about this being a "Bistro" as there is nothing moderate about the Dockside. The location is prime, as is the menu, wine selection, presentation and service. This is an excellent place to dine and ALL our entrees were plated/presented well. The only minor critique came from those who ordered the pistachio "crusted" halibut ... there was no crust... More

Went there last evening (for the first time) for my birthday ,we were a party of 8. We were served fresh hot bread with a olive oil dip right after we placed our drink order. The bread was very good and they put more on the table when they saw that one of the little loafs was gone. Very attentive... More

Had a wonderful dinner with my wife. The meal had lots of flavor with items not found every where. Try the duck very nice. Great seafood.
