Great Location,Food & Service

This restaraunt is right across from the Doubletree Inn where I was staying. Very convient. It is right on the water at the Marina in a very pleasant location on the boardwalk. The service was excellent. They have a very good wine list, and great menu. I had the duck which was excellent. I highly... read more

The menu in the window advertised oysters on the half shell at a certain price and that together with high ratings drew us in. Once inside the oysters were a different price but we split an order with four of us anyway and they were good. One special for an appetizer was Poke and ordered by two in the party... More

We drove to Olympia to see the capital early evening and took a chance on the harbor-side wine bar. We were welcomed pleasantly, and served a very nice small dinner without wine (we were driving). Salads with shrimp and crab were perfect for a light dinner and we really enjoyed this small place. We recommend avoiding travel to and from... More

No alcohol served outside! Waah. We walked across the street from our motel looking forward to sitting on the dock and having dinner here. We were told that they can't serve alcohol on their patio. That was rather disappointing- but our seating inside made up for it. However we were told we needed to vacate our seat by an hour... More

Dockside Bistro is the smallest, most intimate, waterfront restaurant in Oly town. Perfect for a special occasion. Here, you can relax and take your time. The Copper River salmon is excellent. Service is excellent. Ambiance, excellent. Go for the delicious northwest cuisine, the waterfront view, and for a smaller, lovely place to talk.

There is a nice group of restaurants down on the dock and this of course had a nice view and great walk around the area. Nice selection of food and i have had 5 or 6 different ones and all were wonderful. I recommend this place

I wish there was an above average rating in between average and very good. Dockside is not very good but it certainly is above average. Good sustainable ingredients, well prepared, nice location, excellent service but unfortunately at very high prices.

Service good, food average, nice venue. Nice, easy walk from the Governor Hotel. We started to sit outside - which was preferable - but the night air chilled and the staff was very accommodating in bringing us to a nice table inside.

Was attracted to this restaurant since Kobe beef burger was on the menu. There were about 17 diners at 12 tables with only one server. The server earned his pay but service suffered. Burger was nothing to write home about....tasted like a previously frozen burger. Bun was sweet and had no substance, so burger fell apart. Restaurant does not serve... More

My wife and I out for a mid-week dinner decided to try Dockside. Smart decision. We ordered Copper River salmon, salmon on risotto, crab topping, asparagus on side. Perfect combination, exquisite preparation. Local Rose wine, finish with a bread pudding unlike any I've had before and it was superb. Almost forgot the soup;an elegant chowder and a potato/leek soup. All of that... More
