Met a friend at Budd Bay Cafe and enjoyed a very yummy dinner and great conversation. Nice ambiance and good food. We both have dietary likes (she needs gluten free and I'm a vegetarian) and both found delicious dinners! Our waitress offered great customer service as well. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

The location down by the water the facility looked nice and there were a lot of people there. The trouble was the food and not good and the presentation also was not good. I had fish tacos and one, I could smell them as they were served making me feel it was not fresh, the tacos were just a fairly... More

I recently started to consult in Olympia. Overall the food if searched correctly is close to Seattle Quality, at a more affordable level and certainly much more value. Budd Bay is a charming place on the water -- located in a Marina and of course on a Bay. I have eaten the Cioppino a few times there and out side... More

I am a local having lived in Olympia for 20 years. Budd Bay Cafe has improved tremendously over the past couple of years. Not sure if they hired new kitchen staff or a new manager - but whatever they have done it seems to have worked. Fish tacos are great. Sunday brunch is vast and delicious. Outside seating on Percival... More

Needs New Management !!! We went to Budd Bay café for dinner 12/27/14. We have been for lunch but not for dinner in years. I looked at the reviews and should have said no BUT the couple we were with had chosen Budd Bay. The first indication there are problems was the specialty drink menu, the very first drink was... This is not a bad place by any means, but it lacks something that makes it "special". In my experience, and I have been many times, either the service or food is lacking. They never seem to get both right. The views of the marina are great. In the summer you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton in Olympia and the front desk staff recommended a couple of restaurants just across the road. 10% discount as well. We were more than pleasantly surprized. It was a really lovely evening. Great food, ambiance, service, cleanliness and staff were amazing.

The menu had a nice variety. The decor of the establishment needs some updating, but it seemed clean.

We have eaten at Bud Bay on multiple occasions. They have many options on their weekend brunch buffet that will meet your fancy. The wait staff is friendly and curteous and goes out of their way to make your dining experience a pleasant one. I highly recommend this location for their options and service.

We enjoyed the seafood salad, clam chowder and sourdough rolls. Service was excellent and the food delicious. We appreciated the roomy, quiet booth on a very stormy evening. House red wine also was good.
