Close to the Capitol and even after lunch the bakery case offered an assortment of cakes and pastries. We came for the bread. It was hard to resist the tarts, Nanaimo Bars, cream filled horns, and pies. We had sampled the bread and drove up the hill for more. My first visit but not my last.

I love going to Wagner's for lunch. Number one soups and you sure can't beat their wonderful bread and desserts. It is so reasonable for lunch especially if you order soup as you get bread, dessert and some kind of fruit.

Wagner's Bakery is famous up and down the I-5 corridor. With a short detour off the freeway at the State Capitol exit, you can enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads which are perfect when topped off with a delightful pastry from the bakery. I have ordered cakes for many occasions, as... More

This is a great place to meet friends for breakfast. They have good coffee and great pastry. We also order the cakes for birthdays. Always have had good service.

Stopped for a quick meal while on the road. It was 11am which is breakfast for some and lunch for others, however, the staff was willing to go either way which was appreciated although we opted for lunch. We enjoyed very tasty sandwiches with fresh vegetables and cheese on their wonderful bread with a side of delicious cake (apple? carrot?)... More

Travelling from Seattle to Portland a while ago we were looking for a good place for lunch. We exited at the State Capitol in Olympia, and a woman in the museum recommended Wagners. Since then we have stopped for lunch there several times. The lunch menu, while mostly salads and sandwiches offers lots of yummy stuff for lunch, and a... More

Wagner's has a stall at the Farmer's Market, so a fun treat is to stop by and grab one of their delectable pastries. The almond horns are delicious: crispy on top with sliced almonds and the almond paste is soft. Goes great with a latte.

I live in a town near Olympia and accidentally discovered Wagner's some time ago. Today was another fun experience. Went to buy someone a birthday cheesecake and my kiddo wanted something too. So much to pick from he had a hard time - the pacman ghost cookie, brownie, crazy cupcake, other dessert breads you see nowhere else... he picked traditional... More

A perfect place for breakfast or lunch in Olympia. Friendly, accommodating staff. If you can't find something here you like you might want to go to McDonalds because you have no taste!
