I've read good reviews about the Ranch House BBQ in the Tacoma paper, so we stopped in on our way home from the coast. I got 1/2 a chicken and a 1/2 rack of ribs. The chicken was OK, the ribs disappointing (rather tough). We were there on a Sunday late afternoon and the place was packed and people were... More

We discovered the Ranch House almost 10 years ago when we first moved to Olympia. We were coming back from Ocean Shores and decided to drop in for dinner. We're so glad we did. Although we cant claim to be experts on BBQ or pulled pork dishes, we thought the flavor and quality of the meat dishes was excellent. In... More

$90 for a family of five, and I left hungry. I ordered the pulled pork and was served a big hunk of fat. The beans were especially ordinary. My 8 year old ordered off the kids menu, $7 for two ribs, plus $2 for french fries, plus $2.89 for a root beer. His meal was a pinch under $12 and... More

I read all the reviews and a llm tyne awards given to the owner, Amy Anderson, I was excited to get some real BBQ. I was wrong, maybe my expectations are too high, I am from South East Missouri, where BBQ is a serious business. I had a slab of ribs, cole slaw and baked beans. I had the full... More

This is a very cute little place with great small town atmosphere. We have eaten there quite a few times and I am learning that while they do some foods very well some others are a bit 'lacking'. I love their pork ribs and garlic fries, a staple there. Not being what one would call a BBQ aficionado, while I... More

First off let me say with a chuckle that comparing this place to Famous Daves is like saying a hamburger place is no McDonalds or the pizza was OK but it's no Dominos. No, it's not Famous Daves, it's just really good food. Try to get a seat in the evening and it shows. I love pulled pork and always... More

We were looking for something with a full bodied BBQ flavor. The BBQ'd ribs, we thought, would be the best first time dinner. Had heard it was very good, busy, so get reservations. I'm sorry, we were very disappointed. Meat was very tender and fell off the bones, fries were ok, beans were good. Plenty to eat but the flavor... More

This restaurant rebuilt after fire, flood and a wall of mud coming down on them. The owners are very nice with good food and service. The establishment has character with their pig decor. We'll certainly be stopping again.

We've been there several times, but our most recent visit was the most memorable. We went on a busy weekend evening and the place was packed. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. We like to eat a large dinner, so a sampler platter and two appetizers with salads was just the right portion. Every bbq dish was delicious, but... More

We were headed to SeaBrooke Washington and on the way went to Ranch House BBQ for lunch. It was wonderful. The slow cooked bbq meats were so good! We tried the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and the Chicken with garlic fries. Wonderful! We loved it so much we ate there again on our way back to Seattle. Two times was just... More
