Passed by Ranch House en route to tiny Elma, WA on a late June morning, and returned for lunch two hours later after getting recommendations from local experts. It was great: at noon there was NO LINE and we sat down immediately. Took in the decor which is dominated by BBQ trophies at the national and regional levels. The ceiling... More

It is insane how good this BBQ is. No, I haven't been to the south or Memphis. But this is hands down the BEST bbq I have ever eaten. Prices had gone up since I went last, but it is worth it. From prior experience, I know the brisket is divine. The ribs are dang good. I got the 1/2... More

Driving east on hwy.8 between Aberdeen and Olympia and notice a sign for the "Ranch House BBQ". Boy are we glad we stopped. The service was great and the food was delicious. The strawberry shortcake was to die for. Hope we get back through the area sometime soon.

This restaurant is so much fun to eat at, with a great decor and award winning food, it is a WIN-WIN fantastic time!!! Food is always hot and delicious, and portions are always filling! Desserts are truly a treat and being homemade just ads to the whole package!!! Would recommend very highly!!!

I've read good reviews about the Ranch House BBQ in the Tacoma paper, so we stopped in on our way home from the coast. I got 1/2 a chicken and a 1/2 rack of ribs. The chicken was OK, the ribs disappointing (rather tough). We were there on a Sunday late afternoon and the place was packed and people were... More

We discovered the Ranch House almost 10 years ago when we first moved to Olympia. We were coming back from Ocean Shores and decided to drop in for dinner. We're so glad we did. Although we cant claim to be experts on BBQ or pulled pork dishes, we thought the flavor and quality of the meat dishes was excellent. In... More

$90 for a family of five, and I left hungry. I ordered the pulled pork and was served a big hunk of fat. The beans were especially ordinary. My 8 year old ordered off the kids menu, $7 for two ribs, plus $2 for french fries, plus $2.89 for a root beer. His meal was a pinch under $12 and... More

I read all the reviews and a llm tyne awards given to the owner, Amy Anderson, I was excited to get some real BBQ. I was wrong, maybe my expectations are too high, I am from South East Missouri, where BBQ is a serious business. I had a slab of ribs, cole slaw and baked beans. I had the full... More

This is a very cute little place with great small town atmosphere. We have eaten there quite a few times and I am learning that while they do some foods very well some others are a bit 'lacking'. I love their pork ribs and garlic fries, a staple there. Not being what one would call a BBQ aficionado, while I... More
