Best of Olympia

I love this quaint, cozy restaurant with its rustic charm, and flavorful, creative dishes. The menu offers something for everyone, and the wine list is great! It's my go-to place whenever I have visitors in Oly!

Our go to restaurant in Olympia. Great dinner, amazing lunch and good service. If you get a chance to catch one of their wine dinners, do it.

We're spending more time in Olympia because close family relocated there. After dipping into the local dining scene with mostly unsatisfactory endings, we're nominating Acqua Via as the best the city has. The restaurant has a an open, elegant atmosphere and seating design. It's feeling is intimate, but not claustrophobic. And you can converse . . . easily. Uban and... More

Hands down, exquisite food, carefully prepared, artfully presented, eclectic. Husband had the prawn salad...3 huge, perfectly cooked prawns, butter lettuce, veggies, great dressing. I had the morel mushrooms with fiddlehead ferns, sauted in a light sauce..amazing. Fiddleheads are rare, can only be harvested 2-3 months out of the year. Also had the yellowfin tuna...wonderful. The addition of a beet slice... More

If you like fried frozen food, do not read any further and go to any of the other hundred places in Olympia that consider 'chicken tenders' a meal. Acqua Via continues to amaze us with innovative, fresh, and incredilicious plates! The menu changes based upon seasonal availability and the pairings the chef conjures. We made our own small plates lunch... More

Acqua Via is hands-down one of my favorite spots to dine in Olympia. It is relatively small so it does not get noisy like many larger places. And the food is excellent. I have dined there many times and never been disappointed.

They favor the local farmer's market and the specials reflect what is fresh and available locally now. Each dish shows the art of food and is an adventure. What was ordered: Oysters on a half shell with mango sorbet -very fresh and delicious Calmari steak- Surprisingly delicious Lamb special- delicious Rice pudding - good Apple dessert special -delicious Overall: a... I have enjoyed great lunches: salads and paninis and wonderful dinners: seafood, lamb and salads with a nice choice of wines for several years. Staff is always friendly and helpful in wine recommendations. This restaurant has been shared with all my out of town visitors. It is located in the heart of downtown Olympia where many annual events take place... More

Typically, we only eat lunch here as the dinner prices are pricier given their portion sizes ($24 for a small square of squash lasagna). I'm not a big eater but even I was surprised how small the entree size was. But, my husband and I had a hankering for their chopped salad which, as always, is delicious. So, we split... More

In a review a few years ago I said this was our favorite restaurant in Olympia. That has continued to be true. We have gone there often, sometimes just for wine and cheese and sometimes for dinner. So I was disappointed to see a recent health dept inspection that was very negative. We will not return until we see another... More
