Hip, trendy, simple

I'll be honest with you, I have only eaten here once. I ate a mac and cheese on the way to Kurt's memorial in Aberdeen. Unsuprisingly, Place is a grungy hangout for young people and I felt a little out of place here. Still worth it to enjoy one of Kurts favourite dishes.

En route to Oregon for a girls trip and decided to tour Olympia....looking for some eats. We stumbled upon this little diner and after looking at reviews decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the cute diner, friendly staff, extensive menu and fantastic food....totally wished we tried one of the many shakes they offered - guess... More

Trendy, maybe. Hip, if good food is hip then yes! Grungy, only if being served by a super friendly waitress who also has tattoos is grungy. My wife and I stopped at the Reef for a late breakfast and were very happy with the food and service. This place makes me wish I could move back to Olympia and make... More

We went to this spot while visiting friends from Olympia. In the back there is a bar which we would have never known about if it wasn't for our friends who live in Olympia. We were still able to order off the menu and it provided a more intimate dining experience with beer included. I ordered the Reuben and it... More

Hit the Reef after a night out in Downtown Olympia. When you are with a bunch of people that have had a few libations...they are hungry for no hangover the next day. King Soloman's brought the food our group needed. The have a well stocked menu to provide many options for consumption. Breakfast options a-plenty all day long. You have... More

Nice enough diner, with very friendly staff, but the food is kind of hit and miss, especially in the modern food its categories like vegan. A lot of items became vegan not so much by the abundance of the veggies and whole grains they were create with, but by the absence of the meat or cheese removed last minute. That's... More

This spot could easily be a subject of Diners, Dive-Ins and Dives. I would affectionately put it in the Dive category. It is super busy and super efficient. The breakfast menu is great, where else could one get an egg, cheese sandwich between pieces of French toast, served with a little mountain on home fries? If you are afraid of... More

I ordered the Noah's Ark with fries and a side of brown gravy. My only regret is I didn't accept the side of syrup to dip my sandwich in. It was delicious. The waffle wasn't overly sweet and the meat had great flavor. My boyfriend ordered the pastrami. He said it was great, hot juicy with perfectly toasted bread. The... More

Stopped here on my way back from Portland the other week and I got the chicken tenders and they were fantastic. My friend got a burger and he loved it. The fries where great as well. And the food was not that expensive. I would recommend this place if you were ever traveling through Washington State's Capital.

Now known as the Reef in Olympia. I love the Corn Beef hash that is actually chunks of corn beef and chunks of potatoes and then I have 2 eggs over top--YUM!!! They do many good breakfast choices but I always stick to this. I have heard the owner makes her own pies every morning and that folks come in... More
