Seemed to be popular with locals (always a good sign) with many members of the tankard club. The craft beers were good, with very helpful descriptions on the menu. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Olympia as a town is quirky place, and our server was dressed a little eccentrically, but he was friendly and helpful.

Having heard of Fish Tale Brew Pub on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives", we wanted to try the restaurant. There is a definite neighborhood feel about this place, which gives it a nice casual atmosphere. We were told to seat ourselves which gave us a feeling of being outsiders and being ignored which we were for a while as... More

My husband loves the beer but I'm not much of a beer drinker. I usually get the cider. and it is tasty and refreshing. I like the lively, neighborhood feel of the place, filled with people of all ages laughing and talking. The fries are excellent as is the oyster burger. Food runs from very good to good with new seasonal... More

I have to go to Fish Tale whenever I am in Oly. The food is great but the beer is even greater! Pretty much any kind of beer you are in the mood for. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I have had some very good oysters here. They are always fresh and delicious. It is kind of small so... More

I have been to the FIsh Tail a dozen times and therefore I can average my experiences over time. I have had good meals and average meals. The Fish Tail is a small bar / diner. They brew beer in Olympia and also have German style beer from Leavenworth. I have had beers from all over the world and I... More

Went for breakfast today. I had salmon benedict which was fair- not much salmon, not much potatoes, not much flavor. The other two in our group had "eggs rancheros" who felt it was pretty weak. little flavor, min salsa. would not go there for breakfast again especially with so many great breakfast options in Olympia

On our trip we tried clam chowder at four restaurants. This restaurants chowder rated #5 of 4. I think they put sand in it instead of salt, because it had plenty of sand, but no salt. I never salt chowder but it toomany shakes of the salt shaker just to taste any salt. Too bad they did not have other... More

I was in there for breakfast with some friends and overheard the bartender: She accused the customer of spreading rumors about the pub when she asked her to check the balance on her loyalty card. The customer mentioned she had heard a rumor that balances were going missing and wanted to check hers. The bartender continued to accuse the customer... More

On the way home from a weekend in Oregon my husband and I decided to try this restaurant because we had seen it on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Travel Channel. This is the third DDD restaurant we have been to and we weren't disappointed. The pub reminds me of others I've been to in Portland, OR. Very... More
