Improved Service But Still Needs to Step It Up

We hadn't been back to the Waterstreet Café for several years due to a negative experience (tab too high for what we got in food and service). However, this time things were much better. Last time there was no Hostess present and we had to wait until the Host finished filling water glasses, etc... read more

We ended up at the Waterstreet Cafe after the Dockside Bistro did not have our Open Table reservation. They suggested the Waterstreet Cafe. We had 8 women, on a weekend get away from Seattle Luckily a group had cancelled right before us in a nice private room. It was a lovely room towards the back which suited us perfectly. Our... More

The food quality here is hit and miss. The restaurant lacks consistency which is very unfortunate. The ambience is great and the bar is lovely. I wish they could get a handle on the quality of the food, it's been rather disappointing on several occasions.

Great happy hour menu, arrive early as the bar is tiny, menus change seasonally. Prices and portions are happy hour appropriate

After moving back to Olympia we tried Waterstreet café three times trying to like it again. All three times it failed us. Not sure we will ever go back.

Celebrating a friends birthday I picked up the $285 tab. For a table of 4. The entrees were lacking for the value. The oysters didn't come with a mignonette but with shaved ice mixed with some green herbs. Totally tasteless. I was pretty angry paying for a dinner that didn't come close to satisfying our appetite. Drinks were good- but... More

Seriously, I don't know what has happened to this place. They used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area and we dined here constantly for the past 2+ years. However, the last 3 times we have dined here over the past 9 months the food and service have both declined immensely. I didn't see a lot of... More

For some strange reason I have not been here in years. I don't know why as it is a great place with wonderful food and nice servers.

We stopped in on an early Saturday evening, and the restaurant was nearly empty. We were given the choice of indoor or outdoor seating and chose outdoor, which is covered (a nice feature). After 15 minutes of pouring over their over-priced menu, out waitress still did not come back to take our order. We even went inside the restaurant to... More
