Terrific

Very crowded but we'll worth the wait. An excellent array of "healthy" fare but hearty enough for even the hungriest men. Great sweets, too.

I had lunch there today. My roast beef sandwich was excellent as was the home baked cookie I had for deseert. The prices were good, and the staff was pleasant and efficient.

Their bread is great - crusty and chewy, perfect with a stew or for olive oil/balsamic dipping. Dangerously good breakfast treats and cookies. A simple and limited lunch menu, but super tasty sandwiches (on the crusty, chewy bread) and usually a good soup. They have a couple other items but I stick with the sandwiches. Unfortunately the service seems to... More

We stopped here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. The breakfast menu is not available on Wednesday but no matter. I had a fantastic croque- madame, which adds a perfectly poached egg under the melted cheese. Amazing! The line was doubled up inside to order but moved quite quickly. I will definitely return for more.

I go to the Bread Peddler regularly for breakfast, usually a mid- morning coffee and scone, or other delectable pastries they make. EVERYTHING they make is from scratch, and sooo good! The only drawback is you'll have to bring quarters with you to pay the parking meters for the street parking. It's worth it!

Food is mediocre at best. Pastries and cakes and different baked goods are displayed in an open area which to me seems unsanitary as I have seen flies and employees without hair nets working around it.I also noticed lack of hand washing or glove wearing amongst employees as they dealt between serving and cashing a customer out. It wasn't a... More

Breakfast was lukewarm, three tablespoons of cold potatoes and stone cold "toast ", eggs poached like rocks. Bacon was good. Paid for the capichino, went to get a drip refill and was rold by a rude "server" that only drip coffee got a refill. So pay $4 for capichino then pay again to refill?? Still think Starbucks is a rip... More

The Bread peddler has changed its days of service and its hours. It is no longer open on Monday and Tuesday; and the hours have changed for other days. I have written previous reviews of The Bread Peddler and the pastries, coffee, and food are just as good as ever. Always pleasant atmosphere and polite staff to go with the... More

Great chocolate chip cookies and coffee. A small but yummy selection of breakfast and lunch items also. Close to downtown and farmers market.
