Try a pastry.

A friend and I had breakfast there yesterday. We each had the "eggs in cocotte" @ $8.50. It came with 2 slices of toast. Both of us felt the food was good. I took a scone for later and thought it better than my breakfast. I loved the atmosphere of the place. It reminds me of a casual 70s coffee... read more

A wonderful spot for a meal or coffee and pastry. There is no other place like it for freshness and atmosphere. Wish we had more places so dedicated to 'cooked to order' food. My only wish would be for more outdoor seating.

Yes , in Olympia - a wonderful family run Italian Resturant with a solid Italian wine list. Food is wonderfully prepared . Very knowledgable staff for wine and food.

We enjoyed the atmosphere there as well as coffee and their own pastries. My husband also occasionally brings home the almond filled cake that I adore. I have also had good soup for lunch and am excited that they have open a room for dinner - can't wait to try!

The Bread Peddler is a French Restaurant. Their breakfast and lunch menus are all about French food and the next best thing to being in France. The pastries are truly amazing; you walk in front of the display and pick out what you want. The sandwiches are mouth watering delicious. The French onion soup is the real deal and the... More

We are retired and are fortunate to have traveled to places like France. We also have eaten at French restaurants in Seattle. Now we are happy to know we do not have to fight the I-5 corridor traffic to Seattle to enjoy a fine French bistro meal right in Olympia. Tonight my husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at the... Love that I can eat bread products at the Bread Peddler without worrying that the bread is polluted. They source their flour. Quality food!

Bread Peddler has opened a second dining area in which it serves dinner. The food is excellent. Two of us had lamb that cooked just right and nicely spiced. One had codfish cakes--a specialty of Brittany--which were also excellent. Service was helpful but had some of the usual just opened problems; that will work itself out. Prices are very fair.

I went to The Bread Peddler for an early lunch. I got there at 11:30 am on a weekday. I order the Tuna Niciose sandwich and was told they were out. How can you be out of tuna??? They only had 1 dried out looking cheese sandwich left. I ordered 3 cookies and left and don't feel a need to... More

This is a very small, very casual restaurant. They can be very busy during lunch and begin to run out of some of their delicious items. I love their quiche and their salads. The bakery items are absolutely wonderful. They make the best meringue cookie I have ever tasted. Good sandwiches and many types of artisan breads. This is not... More
