Dinner

Spending night in Olympia in search of a good meal and we found it at Gardners right across street from the Doubletree! My husband loved his Cioppino which is rare to find and my sautéed shrimp was delicious. A good bottle of Wine and great service from a friendly staff!

Gardner's has been in Olympia since 1983. Still family owned and run, it is the one place that I go to when I want to spend that special night with my wife and celebrate, anything. The building looks like is came right out of the 1950's. But as the say, looks can be deceiving, very deceiving. Once inside the door... More

Last night 3 friends took me to dinner at Gardners for a special birthday dinner. Everything was perfect from my salad with WallaWalla onions, peas, sunflowers seeds and lettuce to the magnificent prepared fresh Halibut..with perfectly done asparagus.... The starch sides were small potatoes, rice pilaf or chipotle mashed potatoes.. I had the chipotle and they were great. The rolls... More

A great establishment that's been around for 30+ years. Drinks were good. Main course was tantalizing. Seafood fettuccine with white sauce was just the right touch. I highly recommend making a trip here for date night or just a great dinner

Excellent food and service. They're celebrating 30 years in business and the wife and I were celebrating 43 years together! We like to eat early and because we had to drive back to Seattle after dinner we were the first party to be seated. The hostess and waitress were absolutely wonderful...we had questions about the dishes offered and they were... More

Excellent waitstaff served us the best meal we have had in this area. We had marionberry cobbler with Olympic Mt. ice cream to top it off. Maybe a little pricey but definitely worth it.

I have been to Gardner's many times before, and had a fantastic meal. It is on the high end, for Olympia, but usually you don't mind paying for excellent food and service. My husband had never been, and he choose this for his birthday. We started with a special offier of a cheese plate appetizer. It was excellent! Presentation, taste,... More

We are very sorry that your experience wasn't perfect on your last visit. Gardner's has been owned for the past nine years by two local sisters. One of us, if not both, is working in the dining room every evening. We do this to ensure both quality of food and service. We sincerely wish that you had brought your concerns... More

Gardner's is our first choice for birthdays and anniversaries. Great food, friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. It's a smaller restaurant, so plan ahead. Note: I almost didn't write this review as it's difficult enough to get reservations. :)

When you arrive and look at the outside of this place, you will wonder...... But go inside, where the dining room is both spacious and cozy, calm and elegant. Then order anything on the menu from the gracious, friendly, and accommodating staff. Everything we've had there has been delicious... My husband declared the seafood fettuccine the best he's ever had!... More
