We were in the Pacfic Beach area for a weeding had some time to explore the are went for a drive down the coast and found the 'Fish Shack". Great friendly staff and the food was over the top good. The clam strips are the best not chewy like some you get, halibut fillet sandwich the best, my wife had... More

This restaurant has a dedicated French fry fryer so no worries about gluten and their clam chowder is gluten free. they did grill me a gluten free bun to go with my chowder at the Ocean Shores location but when in Westport they had no GF buns or bread.

Met a California couple, the wife had been to culinary school, and they highly recommended Bennett's so we went for lunch. I had clam chowder and the apple smoked bacon cheeseburger while DW had clam chowder and halibut fish and chips. I've had clam chowder in SEATAC, excellent BTW, and at Safeco field in Seattle and now Ocean Shores. If... More

Fish and chips and the clams were awesome. The shrimp cocktail is enough for two to share as an appetizer. The fish and clam combo are very large, also enough for two. The breading on the clams was very much like fried chicken batter. Really really good! The service was excellent as well. The prices are high but we felt... More

Nice place, a cool fish shack vibe inside. Pro tip - no table service, you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. While the ambiance is cool, the food is not quite as good. Decent steamers, broth could be more concentrated/flavorful. Too much cocktail sauce on the crab cocktail. OK crab cakes. Decent fish and... More

Bennetts was the only thing open in OS on a weekday night. My sister and I had fish and chips and the fish sandwich, both of which were delicious. It is of course greasy, I would have liked to be able to substitute french fries for a salad or something less heavy. It seems like a Jimmy Buffett style bar... More

Walked in and was asked if we'd like to sit at the bar right away. Got the seafood platter with cod, halibut, clam strips and fries. Also got a couple drinks. Total bill was $49 with the tip. I thought the food was really good and our service experience was great. I have no complaints about this place and would... More

My husband and I loved the ambiance and the food at Bennett's -- it's definitely a unique experience. Just don't go expecting a quick meal or super service. Everything is prepared fresh -- a blessing and a curse. A blessing because the food is delicious and a curse because the place is popular with tourists, making the wait for your... More

Completely overpriced plain food! Paid $40 for halibut and chips, cod and chips with clam strips, coffee and a lemonade. For that price you would expect something good! Definitely not. The coffee was cold, everything Was served in paper cups and such. The whole restaurant was filthy, the forks are stored on the table in an open bucket, completely unsanitary.... More
