From the warm greeting, attentive service to the surprising flavors and attractive presentation, I enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Scotch salmon special using a scotch and Drambui slightly sweet and creamy sauce, the salmon was delicately moist. The owner/chef's own recipe. My husband had the steamed clams, saying they were the best he had ever had, and we split... More

Nanci and Jimella's is a feast for the eyes. This beautiful, intimate little restaurant is melt-in-your mouth fantastic. I had steamed manilla clams in a tomato based sauce with hard Italian (I think) sausage. Without a doubt the best I've ever had. My friend had the "fish of the day" and was equally impressed. Highly recommend their specialty martinis as... More

My favorite is their seasonal, freshly-caught, Columbia River salmon. Cooked to perfection, not overcooked as so many others do. Delightful clam chowder and loads of fresh Willapa Bay oysters or local Dungeness Crab really rounds out the meal. An abundant wine list pairs well with any entrée. The only drawback comes from the overhead fan, open window and open screen... More

We have been customers going back to the Ark days in the 80's. Today the food and the ambience has never been better. My wife and I have been in and around the restaurant business for many years and have eaten in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New orleans and in numerous foreign countries, mostly in France and... It says a lot when you're served salmon that isn't overcooked. We also enjoyed a savory seafood soup. Very creative dishes but without disrespecting the core ingredients. Service was, well, strange. Watered down martini for starters, we were almost served another table's food (awkward), and was finally questioned for wanting to break bills for change (to make tip) as if... More

I loved the atmosphere with little lights and a window for fresh air. I had the daily special. Everything presented so beautifully. An unexpected find!

The service was very good and the food as well. I had a salmon special which was prepared perfectly (not overcooked as many restaurants prepare salmon). The prices are a bit high, but as one of the few upscale restaurants on the Long Beach peninsula it was tolerable for a special occasion.

This is not The Ark. There were two of us - women - we made reservations and were seated next to the rest rooms which, since I travel a lot, is a pet peeve of mine. Oysters were delicious. Fish was awful - tasted like it had been frozen too long. Check hours - I think they are now only... More

Went back just last week with some friends who were visiting the area for the first time. We were a bit disappointed . The service was excellent, prices reasonable, nice wine selection, but the food just didn't live up to expectations based on previous visits. The sauce on the Halibut with Crab as so lemony as to hide any flavor... More

My wife and I ate here in April. Really expected a wonderful meal, since the operators once ran The Arc (now defunct, but once highly regarded). Nothing special on the night we ate here, and the service wasn't very warm. Maybe it was an "off" night, but even the menu didn't read interesting.
