Great coffee, nice people

Honeymoon bay is great. The interior is so much homier than it looks from outside. Every espresso drink has been consistently excellent, and the roasted coffee they sell is fantastic. I only sort of wish they had a drive thru, going inside is totally worth it though.

There was always a warm welcome here and the coffee was great and good value. I usually went for the $1.50 (approx) 'drip'. They give you a mug and you can try the different coffees and maybe buy a bag of beans on the way out. I preferred the dark "Reveille Reveille' and Guatemalan. Mike the owner is very friendly... Full rich flavor, no bitterness and not too acidic on the stomach.. Title says it all. This coming from a guy that drinks coffee his entire waking hours and have drank it around the world from Bahrain, to Italy, Spain, France, Malta, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Singapore and a host of other countries.

I just ordered a cup of brewed coffee here. It was good! A refreshing change from Starbucks. I really appreciated that as a paying customer I could sample each of the roasts they had brewed (there were 6) before making a decision. That is much nicer than just going off of a description! Also, no matter what size brewed coffee... More

Went looking for a local coffee shop and found this neat little place off the beaten path. Location was not the greatest being in a small strip mall behind Walmart but the coffee made up for it. So good we came back for seconds the next day on our way back through town. They are a micro-roaster with a wide... More

I'm bored with Starbucks' sameness, but will admit, on average, they do a pretty consistent job of serving decent-to-good coffee. I'm an espresso fan, and as much as I love independent coffee houses, I usually end up throwing my orders away because they're too bitter. Someone said that "...espresso should taste like freshly roasted coffee smells." Turns out, that's easier... More
