Good But Unremarkable

I came to the pacific northwest without any preconceived notion that the food here is any better than where I live. When I arrived, I began hearing the praises of Arnie's in Mukilteo WA. I went for lunch with my daughter and my grandchildren. The chowder was good and the seafood... read more

We took advantage of Arnie's progressive discounts: $20 off first visit and then progressive discounts for subsequent visits. This place has beautiful views and the whales were passing by during our visit! The seafood bisque is delicious. There is not a bad choice on the menu. Seth, our server was so professional and timed each serving perfectly. The entire staff... More

Arnie's is up the hill from the Mukilteo Ferry and waterfront, but provides a lovely view out over Saratoga Reach, the islands, and Olympic Mountains. The food ranges from standard to upscale restaurant fare, and their Sunday brunch is relaxing and delicious.

We walked into Ivar's on the waterfront, but the staff were very rude because we didn't have a reservation. So.... we walked up the hill to Arnie's, and are so glad we did. This is a great place - a real find. We ate at the bar, which has an excellent view, and the food and drinks were great -... More

I did not expect much from what I thought was a tourist spot but it turned out to be a good choice even for a local. It was Sunday and sunny so started with a bloody mary that was perfectly spiced, and a tasty shrimp included, the server recommended the sticky bun, worth a share. I had the Joe's Special... More

I've gone here for years and it's one of my favorite places. The prawns undecided is my fav. The seafood bisque is spectacular. The happy hour is great. The bar has a nice pub feel, classy not scroungy. All this, plus great wait staff and a great view of Puget Sound, complete with ferries coming and going. If you're an... More

Had happy hour in the bar and stayed in the lounge for dinner too. Baja Fish tacos were at happy hour prices and were fabulous. I'd order them again in a heartbeat. Service was great. Obvious hangout for lots of locals (always a good sign). A bit rustic and worn furnishings, but it just added to the local charm.

Nice and quiet place to enjoy dinner with a view. We had the seafood combo and the fish and chips 3 course meal. Fast, efficient, and friendly servers who helped us picking out a meal, and paid attention to details, such as "water without ice cubes", and more bread. The key lime pie was divine. I suppose it's a bit... More

My husband and I eat here several times a year. The service is wonderful, the staff is always friendly. The menu is quite varied and I've not been disappointed in any cocktail I've ordered. I've had lunch here and the view during daylight hours is quite nice. They always seem to be consistent in quality and service and with that... More
