Good quality restaurant with nice décor. Good service and good food. The clam chowder was really good. My fish and chips was just ok. I should have ordered something better to keep the quality of my meal to the higher standard of the soup. I enjoyed my sampler of three different red wines.

One of the guides on the Boeing tour recommended this restaurant. We drove to it during the day to see where it was located and where to park. If you drive down with all the ferry passengers, the only things that catches your eye are their sign and their take-out window. Don't be disappointed. Walk around to the front and... More

Came here for lunch. They have a sit down and carry out area-we sat. The place is very nice and you get to watch the ferries run, as the seagulls watch you eat. Service was good. I had the acclaimed best claim chowder in the world. It was good (butl mine is better). I also had the claim strips and... More

I used to come here over 30 years ago, and wanted to revisit. I was not disappointed. There are many window seats. I wanted lunch and be able to watch the ferries come and go. The clam chowder was great, and passing the time watching the ferries come and go was wonderful. I will not wait another 30 years to... More

While waiting for the ferry, I did not expect to find good food. But this place was perfectly set up to provide a delicious meal, quickly enough to not stress over getting onboard.

Food was excellent, service was even better. Reserve a table with a water view for the best dining experience.

Best in the area. IVAR'S IS THE PLACE FOR FISHNCHIPS. The location is prime for lots of poeple. From the ferry specially. So the lines can be long sometimes. Worth the wait? I say yes. Specially if you going on the ferry. Don't compare ferry food to Ivars! Make the wait. For others. Downtimes. .. yes hit this place. The... More

Outdoor area with fish and chips, chowder and ice cream. Not bad. No place to really sit, but then most people go back to their cars. Inside restaurant is much nicer and food is pretty good, however unless the ferry ticket attendant tells you you have more than one ferry to wait, go to the bar where they have a... More

This Ivar's has the same approach and menus as the other Ivar's in the local Seattle chain-- inside seating or outside walk-up, which I prefer in warm weather. Walk-up requires finding a place to park in a pretty congested area because of the ferry traffic, but can be done. The walk-up is pretty quick, although you'd better order as soon... More

Had the clam chowder and the fried cod both were great. Great view of the sound too. A must for all ferry travelers. Please tip the staff well.
