Historical pub is an institution... decent food for a tavern.

Located in a local neighborhood on the N end of MI along N Mercer Way about 1 block from the lake across the street from the historical VFW hall. During warm weather it has several outdoor areas that are very nice (one on a lawn and another along an outside porch). The place can be crowded and... read more

I did not like it at all. Poor customer service, poor food selection, poor food taste, very noisy. $11.00 for a hamburger worse than fast food. If you ask for the ingredients or even for the brands they use they do not know. People in Mercer Island must be desperate to go to that place. All they can enjoy is... More

Fun, local, historic bar that serves okay food, but who cares -- the place just feels great from the moment you arrive. It's a comfortable joint that is a fun "go to" place to meet up with friends or the perfect choice for a parents night out. We love our Rowie!

I don't visit here as much as when I lived closer but the food and good beers are the same. Highly recommended for burgers and fish and chips if you are in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a drive and always worth a stop if your in the area for good pub food and fun.

The Roanoke is a Seattle icon situated on the west side of Mercer Island. Sandwiches, salads and burgers. Eat indoors or outdoors and be treated respectfully for a reasonable amount of money.

I have always enjoyed sitting outside at the tables in the yard, or the porch in sunny weather, then going inside by the old bar and fireplace for warmth and cheer on the rainy days. The atmosphere is local, friendly and the food is good old fashioned burgers, fries, sandwiches, and more. Good draft beer on tap, it's the closest... More

The Roanoke is a historic establishment and one of the coolest meeting places on Mercer Island. A great place to meet friends, have a beer and some nachos. You must be 21 to eat or drink there so get a babysitter and go! I would highly recommend.

A memorable experience feasting on my delicious cheeseburger as the Blue Angel performance roared over our head. Ah, the sound of freedom! The porch seating on a pleasant day can't be beat. You can't help but be happy at the Roanoke!

This is how my guest greeted our waiter as he finished lunch. The food is that good and that simple. The location is easy both from the Eastside as well as from Seattle. It is a professional restaurant staff with a grand menu.

The Roanoke is a Mercer Island classic. Grab a table on the patio or porch weather permitting. Typical American fare for the most part with some Tex-Mex thrown in for good measure. It's been around for 100 years so they must be doing something right. There aren't a lot of choices on Mercer Island and this is one of my... More
