Have eaten here several times and the food has been great. It is often very crowded. We were going to eat in the dining room but didn't want to wait for a half hour so chose the bar. They have the most comfortable bar stools ever. Their hamburgers are delicious! A bit noisy but that's what to expect from a... More

This was my first time at this restaurant. Went for lunch and decided to have breakfast. I had the Cornd Beef Hash which was obviously fresh and was very good. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their meal as well. The restaurant has a great appearance as well as a bar and happy hour. I will return to this restaurant.... More

We were pleasantly surprised after a failed attempt to get inside the packed 'Roanoke' at 5.20 pm on a November Tuesday evening. Food here is good and service friendly though it seems bar- action is its main order of business but it's a good if pricey spot on Mercer Island... And you can get a table. Happy Hour is $2.00... Pricey place for food you can cook up better at home. This is not a great place for lunch, but they do have some good items for breakfast. The french toast is pretty awesome and the egg benedicts are also very good. Also this is a terrible place to come to while on a date - especially during any game.... More

Very well maintained historical pub on the North end of Mercer Island. During the summer the outside lawn area is attractive and popular. Very wide selection of beers along with a full bar. A very popular meeting spot. Can get very crowded and pretty loud. Too bad that there is not a time of day when kids can also eat... More

This restaurant was a good, easy to access, consistently yummy food and reliable service eating establishment. However, in the past six months, we've eaten there four times and had indifferent to poor service on each occasion. The food is always good. Wish they could hire and keep friendly, prompt, articulate wait staff. It will be a while before we take... More

Poor quality food. Dirty. Flies buzzing us. Service was okay. There are way better places to eat breakfast. Eating at home included.

1. Creative Menu - and lots of flavor! The Baracoa Benedict was a must for me as soon as I entered and smelled the smoky wonderfulness of The Islander's house-smoked pork. The eggs were poached "just right" and our server Katy pointed out that I could get the hollandaise "on the side". Excellent pico de gallo completes the dish. The... More

Is you want a great breakfast, go to the Islander. The portions are huge and they have a fabulous selection of great scrambles and benedicts. The lunch and dinner menus are not as memorable. We hope once the moved to this new location they would change the menu, but not so much. It's just ok.

We recently ate at the Islander for a late breakfast on the weekend. The new location is spacious and contemporary in design. Service was excellent and attentive. Our family had a variety of breakfast items, including the ultimate combo (portion is large and delicious!), SoCal Omelet (good, but needed to be seasoned more) and the Chicken Fried Steak (average). The... More
