Eclectic, Eccentric and Delicious!

On a Sunday drive up to Mount Baker, the look of this place intrigued us as we drove through Maple Falls, so we stopped here for lunch and we are very glad we did. The funky, small space with assorted bric a brac is warm and inviting as is the genial, larger than life host and owner. While... read more

Heard about Sam and this restaurant so made the 30-minute drive from Bellingham and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by Sam, the owner, and chose where we wanted to sit. It was a cold day, so we each ordered a hot drink: my husband says it was the best coffee he's had in years of traveling... Sam admitted... More

Looking at cabins in Glacier, WA on a rainy NW day. Not too much going on in the North Cascades between summer and the ski season. Maple Falls Cafe was open, and ready with a tasty Cuban pulled pork sandwich. There were interesting beer choices, but we were driving in the rain so couldn't sample. The sandwich was delicious, moist... More

Friendly staff, fast service & good food. Best place in Maple Falls. Outside dining is available. I had some Cuban entree that was excellent.

Outstanding food that you would find in any great foodie city. But there it is by the road when you're driving back from Mt Baker. Good selection of meat based meals with balanced spicing. The beet salad was wonderful as well.

I never planned on eating here, but I was a way for a girls weekend when we stumbled on it. I am so glad I did! The food was amazing, well priced and something I will never forget. What made it so much better was the chef. Not only is he a pleasure to talk with, he is extremely passionate... More

My wife and I stopped into the Maple Falls Cafe on May 24, we had a John Wayne Burger, the Chili which my wife exclaimed was the best she has ever tasted. My burger was incredibly good. On top of this the owner Sam was as gratuitous and warm a person as I have met. The old world charm and... More

Read the review in the Bellingham Herald and was looking forward to eating a good plate of Feijoada. The beans were served lukewarm, not hot. The meat in it was just a couple of variety of sausage and some other kind of meat, not the usual mix one finds with the real thing (Brazilian feijoada). Not particularly tasty either. There... The food was excellent. The Squeeze had a burger and I had lasagna. We shared an avocado salad as an appetizer, and ended up with too much food…so portion sizes were more than "ample". But it was the owner, Sam, that made the evening. He was a gracious host, with an amazing story and seemingly insatiable appetite for "community building".... More

Go in, ask the chef, get something dazzlingly exotic - from sour beer to Brazilian fusion and burgers in between - and cuddle up by the little gas fireplace. Oh, and definitely sample the salted pork - a Latin delicacy.
