Nice home cooking in the dutch style. The red cabbage stewed with apple juice and spices was great as well. I had the pancake with ham and pineapple. It was so big it made for 2 large meals. The strawberry rubarb pie was also good but more expensive ($6/slice) than I expected. Down the street the bakery has slices for... More

Ate lunch here. Asked the staff for advice on a true Danish lunch. They said the pea soup and pork schnitzel. Pea soup was thick, but not that tasty. Only ate half the cup, because I thought I'd save room for the schnitzel. Should of had all the soup. Potatoes were wedge chunks deep fried, brunt and grease laden. Strings... More

We drove through Lynden in April and as usual we could not resist the temptation to stop for lunch at Dutch Mothers, as we have done for many many years now. It is always a wonderful treat with good food and friendly staff. Of course, being a "Dutchie" I often chose the "kroketten" with mustard on bread, or the apple... More

Stopped for lunch. Prompt and friendly service. Space is fairly clean but dated. The lunch menu seemed interesting so we tried a variety of items. The large pancake was a hit. The sandwiches, soup, sides and fries were a let down. The issue clearly lies with the kitchen. A little more attention to each item would have really benefitted them.... More

Went to breakfast here with brother and sister in law and had a lovely breakfast. The waitress was attentive and kept our coffee mugs filled, the servings were huge and we got our order quickly. The restaurant is decorated to reflect the Dutch heritage of the town and community and you can order fresh baked goods to go. I have... More

After a long wait at the border while on our way from Vancouver, BC to LaConner, WA we ended up taking a circuitous route that included Lynden just in time for a late breakfast. We were warmly welcomed and taken through to a side room furnished with comfortable and interesting curious reflecting the Dutch heritage of the farming community. Our... More

i found this place through trip advisor - and we were very happy with our choice. the food was delicious and there was a lot of it. didn't need to have another meal that day! i tasted the strawberry freezer jam that came with my husband's breakfast, delicious! i had their giant dutch pancake - apple, pecan, cinnamon - served... Everything was delicious! Friendly service, unique decor. A really nice place. We had biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak, and agreed they were the best we ever had.

Delicious food! And big portions. I hate it when food is good but small portions and you leave hungry. But this is delicious home cooked food and LARGE portions...enough for us to reheat for breakfast the next morning! After seeing Yelp pictures of the pancakes - we ordered the pecan apple pancake and it was huge! Served with a cup... More

My expectations were exceeded when my breakfast, one of the " slightly smaller breakfasts" on offer, was placed before me -- a large serving of delicious hash browns, beautifully scrambled eggs loaded with chunks of tender ham and plenty of mild cheddar cheese, wholegrain toast, and what tasted like homemade strawberry freezer jam! I ate until I could eat no... More
