Great food and small town service embellished in whimsical decor showcasing historical and cultural touches. Heaping portions for breakfast & lunch. Don't miss season fruit pies!

This is one of Lynden, Washington's Icons. Unfortunately, it appears that they have resigned themselves to resting on their laurels. Portions are large, food is only OK. Overpriced and average service.

Ok, I have customers in Lynden that I take for lunch whenever I'm in town. Almost every time they choose Dutch Mothers as their place of choice. I have come to understand why, the food and service are predictably good.

I ordered just a plain green salad and the only salad dressing that was GF was oil and vinegar. The oil was rancid. My husband ordered their roast beef sandwich and it was as if the meat was old. Our mom had the waffle and said it was great! So perhaps the breakfast is the safest thing to order if... More

The breakfasts here are great, the service is fast & friendly, and the portions are generous. For lunch or dessert, try one of their pies - delicious!

We stopped by here for years on our bike ride, in the past, we had a lot of options, the food was good, but after this last time, it was so bad, we will pass it in the future. We had the buffet, they cut down on the entrees, the potatoes were still frozen in the middle, the eggs, as... More

My son and I shared the "Dutch Lunch" which included soup, pickled cabbage, potatoes, and schnitzel. Filling and tasty. We also shared their apple pecan cinnamon pannekoeken (Dutch pancake) which was good, too.
