As the only eatery on Lummi Island other than the super-high-end Willows Inn, Beach Store Cafe fills a void and does it well. We didn't have high expectations, but this cute, family-friendly restaurant surprised us by serving up delicious pizza (we had the potato-herb-egg) and generous and delicious salads. Yum.

Well we are visiting a small island to visit a James Beard award winner and this is his second restaurant and the only restaurant open when Willows Inn is closed. A community with only one affordable restaurant and the only one open for lunch and dinner when its famed cousin is closed, one would think this would be packed and... More

My breakfast (eggs, bacon & spuds) was great and a good value at $10, BUT my husband's breakfast, also $10.....not so much. He is a pancake freak and got the Blueberry pancake w/ Maple Syrup. What he got was one plate sized pancake w/ very few blueberries and faux maple syrup. That was the kicker - for $10 he expected... More

Our stay at Willows Inn allowed us breakfast at the Beach Store Cafe. Unfortunately it doesn't open until 8:30 and we wanted to get as early a ferry off the island as we could because we had to get to Portland that afternoon. We had the polenta with poached eggs and proscuitto. It held us the entire day. The eggs... More

Here we are again. A cool frascati after a hard day fishing. Well watching them fish really. This is a lovely spot. The staff are always friendly. One of the many good things about the USA is that whatever you order, however small, they make you feel valued. We ordered three drinks, a small salad and garlic bread. Immediately three... More

This place looks like an old country store that was converted into a diner. This is a restaurant and no longer a store, so there are not rows of products for sale like in a Cracker Barrel. The store for supplies is a few hundred yards away from the cafe'. My wife and I had breakfast here twice. Collectively, we... More

We ate breakfast here two days as it is the only option if you are staying at the Willows Inn.The first day I had poached egg and proscuitto on polenta-the polenta was almost the worst I have ever had, tasteless and lumpy. The fresh fruit my daughter was given instead of meat was not fresh, the strawberries were actually mouldy. The second day i... We were staying at Willow Inn so included in stay- as long as drink is juice or drip coffee/tea. Service slow to take order. Food arrived fairly promptly. Eggs benedict well cooked- good hollandaise, runny egg, nice ham and potatoes were good. Mine was fine- husband had additional short black hair included- from male chef. Stumptown coffee very good. We had a lovely lunch. My fish & chips were really good and my Mom enjoyed her salad. The view from the restaurant is lovely.

As you walk through the beautiful flower garden from the parking area, you'll notice a variety of different herbs which are used in the restaurant. We were staying at one of the properties of the Willows Inn and breakfast was included at the Beach Store Cafe, a light and airy restaurant overlooking the Hale Passage. You can watch the ferry...
