Great restaurant for chowder and a nice view from the porch. Other lunch items are good, but I'm stuck on the chowder. Breakfasts are good too.

My spouse and I dined at the Beach Store Cafe for lunch on a Friday in early August 2014. Currently, the Cafe serves breakfast on weekends only, but serves lunch and dinner daily. The cafe offers a daily happy hour, and it features live music on some evenings. We read that the Cafe was located near the ferry dock, yet... More

With its outdoor patio overlooking the bay, this little grill is a real find on a rather isolated but charming island. Although it is owned by the folks who own the VERY expensive Willows on the island, this place is moderately price. Excellent fish and chips, very tasty roasted red potatoes, scrumptious wood stone roasted cauliflower and broccoli, and "to... More

Great food in a casual setting on Lummi Island. Perfect for a quiet dinner or lunch. Good serve, local ingredients and full of local people enjoying their meal.

While Lummi Island has a restaurant with a chef who was named by a New York Times restaurant reviewer as one of the 10 best in the world, the Beach Store Cafe, which is owned by The Willows which is where the top chef displays his cooking skills. For people of moderate means, I'll take the Beach Store Cafe. It... More

We stopped her for lunch on an impromptu trip to see what Lummi Island was all about. We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. We didn't realize until we saw our credit card bill that this place is owned by the very well know Willows Inn with its renowned Taproot Restaurant. That explains the quality of the food and... Good experience dining here with family. Food was good and location was awesome. Service isn't bad. I would recommend this place if you can't make it to Willows inn.

As the only eatery on Lummi Island other than the super-high-end Willows Inn, Beach Store Cafe fills a void and does it well. We didn't have high expectations, but this cute, family-friendly restaurant surprised us by serving up delicious pizza (we had the potato-herb-egg) and generous and delicious salads. Yum.

Well we are visiting a small island to visit a James Beard award winner and this is his second restaurant and the only restaurant open when Willows Inn is closed. A community with only one affordable restaurant and the only one open for lunch and dinner when its famed cousin is closed, one would think this would be packed and... More

My breakfast (eggs, bacon & spuds) was great and a good value at $10, BUT my husband's breakfast, also $10.....not so much. He is a pancake freak and got the Blueberry pancake w/ Maple Syrup. What he got was one plate sized pancake w/ very few blueberries and faux maple syrup. That was the kicker - for $10 he expected... More
