Voted one of the top 10 worth a plane ride and we concur

We have eaten and stayed at Willows Inn a number of times before, but going there for New Year's Eve was festive! Appetizers and champagne started the evening (venison tartare, oysters and those additive bric roll ups). Dinner and 'snacks' are always delightful and surprising. We even had medlars in one of the desserts! I can't wait to go back... More

18 different bite sized courses, 6 appetizers in addition to the 12 on the dinner menu. The appetizers included mussels, kale with black truffles, halibut skin wrapped around black cod, oysters, & shiitake mushrooms. My favorites were the crisp kale strips with truffles and the halibut wrapped cod. All courses use locally grown or caught produce, seafood, and meats. Some of... More

My wife and I love to eat and have been fortunate to eat in some fabulous restaurants throughout the world. Our dinner at Willows Inn was one of our most memorable. Several of the many early "courses" in our meal were the most satisfying--fabulous combinations of flavor, texture, aroma..... We also enjoyed the service, which was friendly, attentive and timely.... More

The natives whos namesake appears on the title of Lummi island used to frequent this island and many others in Washington state's Puget Sound each summer and would hunt, fish, crab, and harvest cama used as a staple for the long rainy winters.  While the 19th century treaty "giving" the natives land across from this island caused many Salish tribes... Who knew that something that sounds so unappetizing could be such a masterpiece! Seriously, when we saw Grilled cabbage simmered in a smelt sauce on the menu we grimaced but when it was served it looked lovely and the flavors were unexpected and spectacular. Most of the eighteen small dishes we were served were absolutely beautiful little jewels with flavors... More

As advertized. A 3 1/2 hour series of delightful surprises for your taste buds. A tasting menu that is supplemented by numerous chef's daily creations all artfully presented by an engaging and informed wait staff and a question and answer period with the Chef Blaine Wetzel.

I came with my family to spend the day on Lummi Island just exploring. The morning was sunny but the wind was crisp, as it usually is in the Pacific Northwest, and we were starving. We sat down at the Willows not expecting much, but were blown away. Breakfast was incredible, (maybe a bit overpriced) but incredible. Everything fresh, the... More

My wife and I indulged ourselves at the Willows Inn in August (we spent the night at the inn too) and we had one of the best dinner experiences ever. I had dinner in Copenhagen at Radio run by another Noma's alumni but Blaine's outranks in my view his CPH friend! From beginning to end it was a festival of... More

We're not in the habit of $250 meals (each, with wine), but when done right such a thing can be memorable. This is one of them. Spectacularly fresh/local food prepared and presented by a brilliant chef and impeccable staff. Creative and inspired menu choices & combinations that produced gasps of delight. Eleven "official" courses plus 9 "snacks" in between--all small... More
