The arrival of Chef Blaine Wetzel has single handedly increased the tourist traffic to rural Lummi Island according to the locals. The main house of the Willows Inn where the restaurant is located, is located on a bluff overlooking the water and islands and is sort of "farmhouse funky". The Inn has rooms all over the island, but the least... More

In order to get a reservation here for dinner (required), you must book a room with the Willows Inn ahead of time, or call within 2 weeks of your date to see if they have availability. They have several places to stay off the main property, and a few right there. If you are lucky you can stay at the... More

As part of a weekend getaway, we spent a couple of nights at the Willows Inn as well as enjoying a meal in the restaurant. Situated right on the coast of Lummi Island, the Willows looks somewhat rustic like many country inns. It has a nice lodge-like feel complete with an outdoor porch and a fantastic view over the water.... More

Delighted with the new flavors of food that we tried, the kitchen and waitstaff are very creative and caring. Very tasteful, relaxed, casual atmosphere, at the same time very professional! We went for a country island getaway and came home refreshed.

Great views, great food, excellent service. Most of the food is locally sourced which makes it so much more flavorful. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn and dined at their restaurant for our anniversary. I cannot express how much this experience is true culinary art. The ability to take a relatively limited amount of material for a locally sourced restaurant on a small island in the Puget Sound and generate such a wide variety of tasting experience was... More

This is a place to just go with the flow. Don't pay too much attention to the menu, you'll get to that eventually but it will be interspersed with a dozen taste sensations including baked kale with brown butter and rye crumbs to sunflower root with sweet onion to dungeness crab in wild seaweed broth. The portions are just right... More

The opening of the small cedar box that had been used, with small pebbles at the bottom, to steam and smoke a plumb Pacific Mussel was just perfect! When you drive up and see the smoke house and the open fire one knows Willows Inn is serious about cooking. There were so many little tastings that we almost couldn't keep... More

Our meal at Willows Inn was perfect. My husband opted for the wine pairing, while I chose the juice pairing. Both were excellent. The service was attentive and they explained each bite or course as they served. They use many fresh ingredients that are locally sourced, which is a nice touch. The smoked items on the menu are sublime. During... More

This was such a fine and inventive meal. There is a single seating, timed for the gorgeous sunset. The dining room is tiny--maybe 30 people max, but there is a tension and excitement as all enjoy the meal in a staggered way. Even though it is billed as a five-course meal, there are about 5-6 more components called "snacks". Linger... More
