Spent two delightful days at Loganita Cottage adjacent to the Willows Inn and walked the half mile to the Inn for their delicious breakfast each morning and then had their World class evening dinner one evening. Lummi Island is unspoiled and relaxing. The Inn has free bicycles and electric bicycles and the island is fairly flat and easy to explore... More

To celebrate our 30th anniversary we booked a room and dinner at Willows Inn, a little jewel on Lummi Island. The evening was spent in their casual, comfortable dining room with great water views. However, our attention was fully engaged by the outstanding tasting menu and wine pairings that kept us rapt for more than two hours of leisurely, deep... More

If you others really feel this is great dining, then they haven't experienced fine dining. The Lummi Island setting is quaint, the food is extremely fresh, and the presentations are lovely, but the cooking itself is pedestrian at best. A plate of tasteless raw flowers with dandelion "dressing," while lovely, was lousy. The "crispy" fish skin was so oversalted as... More

First is the charming, short ferry ride across the strait to Lummi Island on a ferry which holds about 12 vehicles, allowing you to enjoy the scenery, air and water since the ferry isn't enclosed. Then you drive to the north side of this charming, small island in the San Juans to the Willows Inn which is located by a... More

A trip on the ferry to Lummi Island and then to The Willows. Food is freshly prepared, wine list is extensive and a different wine with each course. Many of the vegetables served are grown right at the Willows. Deserts are to die for. A bit pricey but some times you have to splurge and cut back next week. Quality... More

My sister and I went to dinner with high expectations. We were not disappointed. What I liked best was the pure approach to the food. A potato, smoked salmon, a mushroom, shaved beets, smelt, an oyster, etc. - all were cooked to present their optimum taste and enhanced when necessary. The second feature that made dinner excellent was the way... More

So all that I have read about Willows Inn is correct. Definitely make the trip out to Lummi Island for dinner. Was celebrating wedding anniversary in Seattle and made the 2 hour trip up for dinner and stayed on Lummi Island for dinner. The “experience” at Willows Inn was amazing. Exceeded my expectations. Very casual. The restaurant is a couple... More

Willows Inn Restaurant offers up a locally farmed, fished, and foraged 17-course tasting menu. I was skeptical about the meal being worth the price ($165 USD) but was convinced by the reviews and press. Glad I was swayed. Yes, it's pricey, but such a special and unforgettable meal. Tip: one person order the wine pairing; the other, the juice. The... More

As the Michelin Guide says about their highest rating of three stars: "Worth a special journey." The Willows is certainly worth a special journey. Beautiful small dining room in a cabin-like inn overlooking a expansive view of the San Juans, the Gulf Islands, and the Cascades. Unfussy but knowledgeable service (none of the silly, overly detailed lectures about ingredients, but... More

I still dream about this one bite of food. I wanted to eat about 8 of them. The hearth bread with pan drippings - whoa! The smoked salmon - magic. There was a special dish of wheatberries, and venison with a blueberry sauce that was spectacular. This was such a lovely evening, quite an indulgence.
