Stopped in for breakfast. We were greeted immediately and the server went out of his way to get us a map when we asked about directions. The eggs benedict was great but overpriced. The restaurant was clean but the bathroom was scary...not for arachniphobics. I would probably come back.

Only breakfast option in the village besides just the bakeries. Place is cute but cluttered and small. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the special fresh crab Benedict and I must say it was delightful. Service was good.

I recently read a review which started by saying that this place got one star because there was no way of giving it none. This place falls into that category. We arrived from the last ferry about 15 minutes after it docked and went straight there. we were told the kitchen had just closed at about 8.55pm and naturally left.... More

The food was pricey and just ok. The service was very slow that day and our meal took way too long. It is very small inside, not great for large groups.

I had given up on chicken, especially in restaurants, but tasted my friend's and had instant order envy - great textures, complex flavors with nothing outdoing anything else. fresh and outstanding, Nouveau Mexican, a first for me. And I am pretty fussy about Mexican! Actually, everything was really tasty, salads were very pretty and nice sized servings. I have had... More

Whenever in the Islands we have to stop at the Love Dog for breakfast. They no longer seem to be doing our favorite shrimp Benny, but they had a lovely, fresh eggs Benedict with fresh crab on special this time. Yum! We love their bread pudding with whiskey sauce too. The food here is just plain excellent. Casual setting. Laid... More

We had a phenomenal meal at the Love Dog Café! Our server, Lira, was friendly, down to earth, and very attentive. We started with the Warm Brie appetizer and it was delicious. Our main entrees were the Beef Tenderloin special with a Cabernet Portabello reduction, and Seafood with Romesco over Polenta - both were amazing. We finished off with a... More

These two organic possibilities give Lopez Island our vote for the best vacation food on the Islands. We'd love to find others, but meanwhile we'll visit here.

Colorful, healthy and flavorful. Outside seating on a warm sunny afternoon, or inside on an other than sunny day (which can happen; it's an island). Service by a new (younger) person got better as the meal went on (everybody has to start somewhere). We will be back and try another dish; thank you!

We had lunch at Love Dog as part of a Backroads bike trip on Lopez. The atmosphere was pleasant, service very attentive and friendly, but the food was, at best, ok. Lemonade with herb flavoring was creative, but not great. Salmon salad was good. Burger only fair. Overall, go for the experience. Modest expectations will be met or exceeded. High... More
