Tasty Tidbits

A welcome oasis of deliciousness off the highway heading from Portland to Seattle. Great gyros, fab falafel, hearty hummus, and sumptuous salad of organic greens. Try the homemade sodas, too! Ginger Ale or Citrusy lime.

This has to be one of the best kept secrets of Longview. The food is fresh and creative. The staff is friendly, there when you need them, and let you stay and visit as long as you want. The food is from a local farm. The menu is varied and interesting. I am looking forward to returning and trying dinner

Picked the restaurant off Trip Advisor as I was traveling between Portland and Seattle The gyro was extremely tasty. The naan was great. The baklava had coarse ground nuts rather than fine and kind of fell apart. Overall would return. Would never have found this gem without TA

We are so glad you sought us out, and stopped in for a bite! We do make out baklava in the Syrian style, with larger pieces of nuts, because this helps the pastry stay crispy and light. The ground nut styles tend to get soggy, and we happen to really like the body as opposed to a wet or mushy... More

I love restaurants like this. I nice quiet oasis and a pleasant atmosphere. A restaurant run by a husband & wife, who take pride in serving the public. And why not, their food is very good. Fresh & delicious, with their farm to table ingredients. I ordered a simple gyro, and it was great. When I heard that the woman... More

It was such a pleasant surprise when we happened upon this cafe in the basement of a building downtown. The menu is simple. Order at the counter. The mint tea was refreshing!

This restaurant is actually Gyros Gyros during the day, and Bowers Down in the evening. Only a select number of tables are available for dinner and you must make reservations in advance by 3 PM. They try to source all of their ingredients as locally as possible, they grow much of it on their own small farm, but also acquire... More

My only regret is that I have ignored this restaurant for nearly two years. Granted its location is not the best and the name of the restaurant is confusing, at least it is to me. But once you give it a chance you will fine Longviews best kept secret: good food. More than good food. The ambiance is very nice.... More

I came here for my birthday lunch with my entire family. We all bought lunches & when my mother brought out my cake, the owner came to me and told me rudely, in front of everyone, that I needed to inform him if I was having a birthday because "this is a restaurant" and they charge a "cake cutting fee."... We regret that you were not informed of our cake cutting fee at the time you called to reserve your party. We waived the fee for you and hoped that would remedy your complaint. More

This is such a cool little place. You have to go downstairs, but look for the white sandwich board sign pointing you down the stairs on the 1300 block. Entrance is actually on Commerce. Best Gyro I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them including at fancy Greek restaurants. This place is quite, classic, and the help is... More

A friend and co-worker highly reccomended them, so we called in an order to go. Got the gyros and chips which is potato slices, salted and fried. It was very good, I'd never had gyros before. Their ingredients are very fresh. When we picked it up we were given free hand made cream sodas since we had to wait a... More
