Great clam chowder, fish is just okay

We decided to go to the Hungry Harbor and try their clam chowder because our favorite place place, Capt. Morgan's wasn't open. I had the 3pc cod, chips, and chowder for $14.99, a good amount of food that two can share with reasonable appetites. The chowder is thick, creamy and flavorful. It came... read more

We had two meals here while in Long Beach, same meal both times. Husband had oysters and chips and I had fish and chips. He had 8 oysters and I had three large pieces of fish plus both came with slaw and fries and served in a plastic basket. My fish was excellent, nice and moist inside and done just... More

Be prepared for a lineup! Dennis began this restaurant after retiring (!). At first he was only open in the tourist season but local demand prompted him to remain open year round. He now employs 28 people and serves excellent traditional American style burgers, fries and shakes. In fact one of the best shakes we've had in a long time!... More

Stopped in for brunch buffet and enjoyed the variety of breakfast items including eggs benedict, french toast, biscuits and gravy, sausages, bacon, hash brown scramble and pastries. For 10.95 it includes coffee, juice and milk.

Good stop for lunch. There's a good selection of seafood and also things the kids will eat. Food was tasty and served by polite employees. The interior is decorated nicely and the place is well kept. The down side is a one hole, coed bathroom which didn't even have personal seat covers. My wife held it after waiting to get... More

Went on a trip to the coast and was wanting fish and chips. Went here and have to say, they have one of the best fish and chips I've had. Very good and fast service.

Stopped for lunch. Had fish n chips not that good; chicken strips were ok; kids burger asked for it plain abd they put pickles in it anyway; tall Paul burger was good. Some of the fries were overcooked and in little bits and the Cole slaw lacked flavor. Burgers were probably the best food of the group. Chowder was ok... More

Stopped for dinner, we both had the daily specials which were, Pork Chops with Scalloped Potatoes, and veggies, and the Coconut Shrimp with Fries. Food was super hot, and very tasty. Nice large portions for the price. I got 9 Coconut Shrimp plus a ton of cottage style fries for $8.95. The Pork Chop Dinner was also $8.95 and had... More

Great burgers and AMAZING onion rings. I wasn't a fan of the clam chowder, have had better. Worth a stop if you are looking for american food!! Lots of seating inside and out. Staff is welcoming and accommodating. They do charge for any side sauce (ranch, tartar, etc.).

My family was in town for a softball tournament (we live just on the other side of the bridge in Seaside) for the day. After the tourney we decide to do some shopping and eat dinner. We asked a local guy in one of the shops to recommend a good place for some great burgers, he instantly recommended Hungry Harbor.... More
