This is a gem in hiding on the Lon Beach Peninsula

We eat here often and have never had a meal less than very good. From two to twelve people, service works well, timing is good and presentation is impressive. They have great specials and the owner is most often there to make sure all goes well consistently. The lounge area is also better than... read more

Long Beach, itself, isn't much but a tourist town in our opinion but if you go you owe it to yourself to eat at the Lightship. The service was far above average and the food was, too. They do a great line of seafood, but offer just about everything else,as well. The salmon was probably about the best I've ever... More

Twice a year my family goes to Long Beach for softball and I crave the food at this restaurant. Crab eggs Benedict are #1 for breakfast and salmon and halibut fish n chips for dinner! Pretty much everything we've tried was top notch and I recommend it highly. The staff and service is excellent as well! Looking forward to next... More

Attached to the hotel so location was good. Please close the place and clean it. Though we did eat there, we didn't want to drive anyplace else. I don't believe we'll be back to Long Beach as there really isn't much there anymore.

We came to Long Beach, second year in a tow for our anniversary. I love this small town and the beach. I thank TT h err staff for their friendliness and outgoing waitress. I knew when my cosmopolitan was good my dinner would not disappoint. Our bacon wrapped filet steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The appetizers would good... More

We ate dinner twice and breakfast once. Great variety on the menu. All four in our party enjoyed our choices. The servers were very knowledgible about the area and gave great suggestions of places to visit.

The service at this place was excellent! Prompt, courteous and professional. The menu is full of great seafood, so I thought to try a seafood omelette which was delicious. The "home fried potatoes" were thoroughly cooked with that great crust. We could hardly sit our coffee cups down when we next looked, they were full. I will definitely make this... More

We spontaneously decided to dine here one night as it was right next to our hotel. Our first waitress wasn't as attentive as much as I'm used to but the bartender, forgot his name but nice guy that makes a mean margarita, took over and was very attentive. Prime rib was great, as was the calamari with the Thai sauce... More

My family and I visited the Lightship Restaurant for dinner during the Memorial Day weekend and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside, it is nothing impressive. I expected it to be a dive restaurant/bar, but I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The interior has definitely been renovated and it was simple and nice... More

The seafood specials are great. Fish and chips and shrimp louies. Cocktails were also good. Prices are very reasonable. Off season hours are not the best. Access is good but road side signage is small and easily missed. Worth the effort to find it.
