We went to the Long Beach peninsula over the MKLJr holiday to dig razor clams and lunch on Monday was in order. We wound up at Castaways - good fine. It's right on the main street of Long Beach and is family friendly as well as has a full bar (not cocktail loungey). I had their clam chowder and salad.... More

As we were traveling to Long Beach we kept asking where we could get good fish and chips and Castaways name kept coming up. We went there for lunch on my birthday and they were very good and they gave me a free desert!

The cod fish sandwhich was so good we ate lunch here twice. The clam chowder was good too. Sweet service even when busy.

Good service , attentive waitress , had great fried captains plate - oysters , clams , cod , wife had salmon - good salads with fresh greens - vegetables were a little weird with some grilled green beans and a paste of some type of squash - but generally great experience - good value - go there !!

Great variety on the menu, offering not only fresh local seafood, but also plenty of other options at different prices. Service was good even though they were quite busy.

This looked like the best option for lunch off season. We just wanted chowder and an appetizer. I will say the service was exceptional. Our waitress was so welcoming and friendly and attentive despite the fact that it got busy and she was the only one there. Decor was cute and it was clean The chowder was very blah and... More

The food was good and service were good. (Better than expected Reuben). The waitress seemed overworked so I cant hold it against her that we didn't get much attention.(had to get our own ketchup and extra napkins). $45 for a sandwich, shrimp, 2 soft drinks, and bread pudding seems a little high.

The very best tilapia we have ever eaten. Fish and chips were fresh crispy and hot. Service was perfect.

We had hunted at three other restaurants on Long Beach peninsula for oysters on he half shell. One would assume this an easy task in the coastal town of a state with superb oysters renowned worldwide. After having a poor crab mac n cheese at The Depot..having been directed there by a weird desk clerk at our weird hotel...we drove... More
