Really great place for lunch!

This restaurant caught my attention because they advertise gluten free fish and chips. It is a small restaurant that is only open for lunch (otherwise 5 stars) with the cook/owner (I think) and a hostess. Both were very careful about asking me if I had celiac or was just choosing gluten free... read more

There are few places my wife can safely eat and this one is safe enough for the most sensitive celiacs. But more importantly the food is amazing. The fish and chips are top two on the entire penninsula and the best gluten free ones period. Please don't be fulled by the tater tots served with the gluten free options, they... More

Read reviews, but sadly food was terrible, no dressing on slaw, frozen limp fries and mushy fish. Will not be back.

First off, let me say that I regret that you were disappointed. We strive to make sure our customers are happy, but I can't fix it if I don't know there is a problem. I'm guessing by the date that you were here during Kite Festival, which was crazy busy. As I said in my personal message to you, that... More

We stopped in for fish tacos mainly because they were advertising as gluten free. We order and we're amazed with what came out. First of all, being gluten free man very little deep fried foods. These tacos were not only some of the best gluten free tacos I have ever tasted but best tacos ever in general. Do your self... More

We walked into this place looking for a quick bite to eat, nothing special. It's basic, small, with a limited menu. But boy was that fish delicious! The batter was perfect; crisp, flavorful, not greasy. The fish tasted fresh, of good quality. We enjoyed it thoroughly, and look forward to returning!

Last year I wrote a review on this place saying how bad it had become. I take that back they changed completely! I wish I could take that bad review I made off of here. New cook and new people working .Same owner, Clint, and it is really what it used to be - a great place. Yes it has... More

Located in downtown long beach now. We stopped in here after seeing a fish tacos sign on the street. It's tucked down a shop alley by the pharmacy so would have missed it otherwise. I am so glad we didn't! We ordered the fish tacos and they were so good. A nice chunk of freshly battered cod with slaw and... More

The Imperial Schooner is tucked away on a side street just off the main road through Long Beach. The decor is very plain and unrefined, but the service and food are top quality. We had cod and chips, the cod was firm and fresh, the batter was thin and crisp. The home-cut fries were perfectly crisp and soft inside. The... More

This was my first chance to visit after the move from the Ilwaco docks to downtown Long Beach. Same menu, more room and more décor. Fried oyster specialities, "Angels on horseback" (bacon-wrapped fried oyster) and "Devil on horseback" (spicy angel on horseback) were still available but not on menu - you have to ask. If you like oysters, you'll love... More

Went went on a Friday night at closing. It was delightful. The atmosphere is quaint. We loved it. There are old musical instruments around the room and local theatre programs and photos. The owner says they love the arts. He plays guitar. The service was incredible..very happy and accommodating waitress and cook. My oyster burger was perfectly cooked with lettuce,... More
