Good food, poor service

The schnitzel was good, as were the Brats. Brayden needs to learn people skills! I'm thinking the young man shouldn't be left in charge to close up. He wouldn't serve us a bottle of wine, because it had already been counted. He didn't offer to refill water or coffee even once. He commented "isn't... read more

Our server, Brayden, did a wonderful job quickly attending to us. He checked in on us and refilled our drinks. The food was attractively plated, not just thrown and piled on the plate which happens too often elsewhere. The jaegerschnitzel was breaded lightly and fried to a delicious, just enough crisp. The mushroom sauce was loaded with mushrooms and generously... More

Made a late night pit stop into this restaurant after reading they served Bitburger, one of my fav German pilseners. The live music sadly stopped just before I arrived, but the waiter named Pete was very friendly and attentive, despite the fact I obviously came late into the bar and the staff really wanted to get home. I didn't feel... More

We have to wait for a long que to have our table because we went there after christmas but it still worth a try. Good interiors but small space. My first time to try german food and I like their bratwurst.

We arrived for our first visit to Leavenworth to find it very busy. I had looked up restaurants on Trip Advisor ahead of time, but we had missed lunch so we we chose the first place we came to. Our wait time was about 25 mins, which is what we were told, however once we were seated it took at... More

We came to Leavenworth to spend a few days in a cabin. Went to lunch at the BarenHaus with my wife. I had the Beef Roulade & my wife had the schnitzel. I could tell that my lunch had been warmed in a microwave, because the beef was the consistency of jerky. The stuffing in the beef was inedible. My... More

We chose the Baren Haus for the very best of reasons -- in the madness of a way, way, way overcrowded Leavenworth, where the handful of restaurants that were open had massive lineups, Baren Haus was first available and pretty central to our wandering crowd of nine. In general the food was good. Our group tried a number of dishes... More

Stopped in to try some different German food today. Service was ok and the price was a little high but not bad. The bread at the beginning of the meal was Awesome. GREAT BREAD and the garlic butter was perfect with it. The schnitzel cordon blue was delicious. Both my wife and I split the dish and were decently full.... More

We did not dine here, but went in to listen to a gentleman playing guitar in the bar. Had a great time! The young chap behind the bar was a great server, attentive without hovering, served quickly, great sense of humor. The music was fun, the guitar player took requests. Would recommend!
