Lunch and beer

We tried a good variety. Jager schnitzel was good lightly breaded not greasy gravy was rich and dark, sausage sandwich was great came with spatzle kraut and spicy mustard perfect combo with a Hefewiezen. My daughter had the lasagne, not German but huge and very good.

After checking other restaurants in town for a variety of german food (there's more than schnitzel and brats, you know), we stumbled upon Bären Haus, a nice little restaurant with a good atmosphere and large menu selection. We split the rouladen which was both delicious and generous. We couldn't finish it! Impressed with this place. Would return!

While visiting Leavenworth, we decided to try this the Baron Haus for lunch. the food was good, with more than we could eat. We had the Philly and mushroom swiss burger.

We have been coming to Baren Haus for many years. The food is always very good. The service can be a little slow if they are busy, but has always been friendly. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.

Stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago. The food was decent. The reuben I had was amazing however the steak sandwich my fiancé had was sort of a let down. It's a nice looking restaurant with solid service but the food appears to be hit or miss depending on what you order.

I chose to eat at the Baren Haus for my birthday. I is located in a brick building that was constructed in 1911. The out side brick is the inside brick wall. The roof was open beams holding tongue and grove floor board-like ceiling. Part of the charm of eating at the Baren Haus is the historical setting. My favorite... More

We were there for dinner and at first seemed great. The first table had a leak above and they were confused by us asking for a new table. Then they were out of major meals on their German portion of menu. What they did have tasted like it was from a jar or packet. Plus you could tell the food... More

We spent a lot of time deciding on a place for a German dinner before choosing the Baren Haus. Turned out to be a good decision all around. The space is spacious and comfortable, although somewhat lacking in the German theme. Service was great; friendly prompt and attentive. My wife loved her schnitzel and my sausage sampler was very good... More

Service was very slow and the food was decent. We had 8 different plates and I only heard one person say the food was really good. The restaurant wasn't even busy but it took 45 mins to get food. The kids plate actually took longer than the adults plate which is unheard of considering they are grilled cheese.

We are always down for German food and when we arrived in Leavenworth, this was the first place we saw. We got the saurbraten and a salad and were super happy with it. The waitresses were nice but not very engaging - which is ok by me. I don't need to be constantly attended to. To be fair, we arrived... More
