This place is downstairs on front street. German music playing and plenty of decor to go along with it. My wife had the goulash and cheese spetz. The flavor was great the meat a little tough. I had fried potatoes, wieswinner and cheese spetz. Very good. The staff was very nice and food came out quick.

Very Authentic German Food. Must eat while in Leavenworth. Was the #1 recommended place to eat when we arrived in town and I can see why. Was a bit pricey however for the quality and authentic style of the German food it was well worth it.

The choice of three types of bratwurst allowed for a taste exploration in some traditional German cuisine. This was accompanied by an exceptional soup. The button accordion player played traditional songs from Austria and area, making a good dining atmosphere. The servings ample, the service good. Pricing average for the area. In all a good value.

This is an old Leavenworth restaurant in the basement of a building on the main street. We sat in a booth made out of a huge beer barrel. She had the Kasespatzle -- homemade egg noodles topped with Emmentaler Swiss cheese and green onions -- and I had a bratwurst alongside a bowl of spatzle with mushroom gravy. The food... More

This establishment offers live accordian music which sets the theme. The hostesses Re dressed in dirndle style dressds a d are very pleasant. Our meal was tasty yet portions are a little on the small side for the price.

We've been to Leavenworth for years and only tried this place for the first time over President's Day weekend. We wish we would've come here sooner! The decor, atmosphere and friendly service was fantastic. We were lucky enough to get one of their booths. The waitress, Courtney, was super friendly and helpful. We both ordered the fried snitzchel with spaetzle... More

We stuffed our faces and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the sauerkraut soup and schweinshaxn (enough food for two). The Nutella cheesecake was also out of this world. Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Reminded me of being in Germany where my family is from.

My kids and I stopped in for lunch here to get some German Sausage. We started with their "Giant Pretzel" which was indeed GIANT. I have never seen one bigger nor tasted one better!! Excellent start! I am not a fan of sour kraut anywhere, so I can't ding them for their kraut. I couldn't tell you if it was... More

We eat here every time we come to Leavenworth. The food is good sturdy German fare - wursts, giant hot pretzels and weinkraut - and the atmosphere is delightful. The hospitable staff, mural-painted walls, wooden decor and pithy german proverbs on placards will remind anyone who has spent time in the German speaking Alps of a down-home restaurant there. The... The service and food were very great! Super filling and a great price. The pretzels are amazing and the authentic Bavarian food choices are great. They even had a vegetarian menu for myself.
