Description: This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for...
This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!

My husband and I went for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They do not take reservations for less than 15 people and since it was a weekend we knew we would have a bit of a wait. There was quite a line when we got there but we just had our name added to the list and went... More

The decor was very nice and the booth my wife and I got made it a very intimate dinning experience. Food was excellent and portion sizes were quite large. I would recommend on picking up a bottle of their mustard to take back home with you. While the portion sizes are large if you split the sampler with another person... More

The environment is warm and inviting. We had a sausage sampler which was a great way to start the evening. My goulash came with authentic spetzel like I had as a child, and my boyfriend enjoyed his schnitzel. Portions were large, and my goulash was still amazing as leftovers.

We were here with our family for a get away vacation. Our daughter and her husband had eaten here before and recommended it. We were greeted by our server Courtney who was a joy. She was very helpful with our questions and did not steer us wrong. We were a party of 8 and she did not disappoint. The food... More

Fun wait staff, great food, wonderful atmosphere. Just wish we had been there on a weekend to hear the live music. It was delicious German cuisine. I had the Cordon Blue (pork) that was served with Spetzle noodles. It was lovely. I ordered a salad with my meal. I was on a girls trip with one of the ladies having... More

As soon as we entered the wait staff was attentive to our every need before we knew that we needed it, without hovering over us. Great food that arrived hot and very tasty.

We chose Andreas for our last night in Leavenworth. We were taken to our table promptly by a very friendly staff. The food came at reasonable time. The waitress recommended us the "German mac & cheese" for our little one. Our boy gave it 2 thumbs up and voted as "best mac&cheese". Husband had the schnitzel cordon bleu and loved... More

Andreas Keller is my favorite spot in town to stop in for authentic German food. I love their unique take on schnitzel and always order the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu with spaetzle. The Jaeger Schnitzel (typical mushroom sauce) is also excellent. Despite the large portions, I always seem to clean my plate! The atmosphere is exactly what you are hoping for... More

The schnitzel is wonderful, of course. The rotisserie-baked hambone is a little tough to eat and slightly dry, but the bone and leftover meat makes a wonderful soup. Not to miss, if you are at least 21: the house version of an Irish coffee. The best I have ever had.

Thank you for your kind review of our cozy and traditional restaurant. The Schweinshaxe is an acquired taste - many people love it but others prefer other cuts of pork. I think you made the most of it, and I'm really glad you loved your Hunter's Coffee. We hope to serve you again some day and, "Auf Wiedersehen!" More
