Description: This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for...
This family-owned business has been bringing Bavaria to Leavenworth for over 25 years. The chef, Anita Hamilton, has been personally overseeing the kitchen since 1991 and is a native of Germany. The made-from-scratch desserts, soups and entrees are reminiscent of traditional Gasthaus fare. The owner, Heidi Forchemer, travels to Germany yearly for new menu ideas. Her son, Max, can be heard playing his button accordion most weekends, along with other local musicians, such as Tom Tilton of the Alpenfolk band. It simply doesn't get more authentic than this!

First ones in for lunch and walking downstairs we found ourselves transported back to Germany. Spot on decor and the seating area included a Stammtisch! Bavarian style attire on our friendly server. Food was tasty & authentic and even included the sound of the pork getting pounded in the kitchen! Great beer selection, too. Very satisfied with our meal.

From the wonderful Bavarian décor, to the friendly staff, and of course the tasty German cuisine, it a great dining experience. the waitress was very helpful in helping us choose our entrée and beer to compliment it. we had Schnitzael Cordon Bleu and Pork Weiner Schnitzel which were delicious. Followed that up with Black Forest Cake. All this was complimented... More

The food was excellent and so was the service! Loved the chicken schnitzel and the cold beer! Had live music and from the décor to food to music, it felt very German/Austrian.

They had live music and the food was very good. It was not too expensive either. The schnitzel was really good according to my sweetie. I had the stew and enjoyed it immensely.

We debated up or down. Up was Mozart's, down was Andreas Keller. The hotel staff recommended up. We chose down. It was a good choice. Mozart's is apparently owned by a related party so it is probably good also. Environment is lively, wait staff was attentive, and the food was solid. Their homemade mustard is exceptional and you can buy... More

From your biggest fans from Wuerzburg! My mom, sister and I visited Andreas Keller this last Sunday. I was so impressed by the authentic cuisine, atmosphere and decor. I felt as though I was back home in my mother's home town. The staff and Heidi were very friendly and welcoming! Our waitress described each dish in detail. Andreas provided authentic... More

If you visit here then you want authentic German food for supper and this is the place to go. The spatzal and red cabbage was excellent. Make sure you take the time to walk around and look at all the items hanging on the walls. They even had a young man playing the accordion while we dined, great place, great... More

I am so thankful for your really sweet review of our family-owned and operated restaurant. The young man you saw playing the accordion was my son and I'm really glad you enjoyed it. The restaurant is a labor of love for our family and it means a lot when people value what we do. We will be adding more elements... More

No Rouladen, no wienerschnitzel, no German Potato pancakes, Just a lot of pork and sausages. I had the sampler and, except for the sausages, it was very disappointing. The slice of pork was dry and not flavorful, the sour kraut was not crisp, etc. When the food started to come out, the server had no clue who had ordered what.... More

I am very sorry that you didn't find your visit to our authentic Bavarian restaurant up to your standards. The region that inspires our "Andreas Keller" is Niederbayern, where my mother came from. There you will not find Rouladen or potato pancakes on the menu. You will find Schnitzel made from pork, beef goulash, sausages and Schweinshaxen, so that is... More

This is the 4th time we ate here. It is a popular place. This was the best food I have had, but wow have they jacked up their prices. I looked at my credit card receipt from last year. I paid $14 more this year for the exact same food. I even drank one less beer. We waited abut 40... More

I am very happy that you enjoyed your food during your recent visit to our restaurant. I am sad that you thought your price was too high - for years we kept the prices frozen despite ever-rising food and labor costs. Finally I had to make an adjustment. Our quality has gone up accordingly, and we have reinvested what we... More
