My granddaughter and I enjoyed our lunch at South very much. The service was efficient, the food was delicious. The restaurant was colorful and fun. The prices were reasonable.

We enjoyed our dinner at South. I thought the quality was better by far than most Mexican style eateries. The Basil Margarita was very unique and has inspired me to use my Basil in more ways. Dinner was good. The pork was nice and it's side dish accompaniments were good, even the beans which were whole beans and not heavy... More

Was there for one drink after work and worst bartender ever, she was RUDE tall dark hair pig tails not a friendly at all. She made it very clear she was ready to go home and had no time for us, I totally understand it was late and she wanted to go home, but she could've approach us and a... More

Waited 30+ minutes even though they had tables open . Our waitress was inattentive, slow and forgetful. Had the shrimp burrito. Small but had good flavor. Pastor plate was very good. Homemade guacamole was delicious! They charge $5 for chips n salsa. Bit on the pricey side for Mexican food.

The location is right down town close to every thing. The food is unremarkable in ingredients and preparation. The restaurant space is not especially attractive either and some times you have to wait because of the shear amount of people in town. Most people assume that if there is a line the food must be good but this is not the... More

We went here for dinner on a Monday night and started with chips and salsa and the basil margaritas. The salsas were fresh and the margaritas were excellent. The "three little piggies" pork tacos had tender pork and came with drunken beans, rice and a delicious lime coleslaw. The others in our party also enjoyed cod in a caper tomato... More

I'm amazed South has not made it to TripAdvisor before this. The food is (as I said in the title) delicious, ample, economical and authentic. Did I mention healthy? Locals eat here. (We're visitors to our local grandchildren.) This is not a Tex/Mex restaurant; it is ceviche, fish tacos, enormous burritos. Choose your own salsas from the offerings on the... More

Had lunch at South when vacationing in Leavenworth with family. We were seated promptly in the main room and our waitress was nice and efficient. The chips and different home made salsa were excellent and their margaritas and beers on tap (I had a Pacifico) are very decent. Nothing fancy but relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the food (I had the... More

We had a great meal. I had the Big Wet Monster Burrito and my wife had the shrimp enchiladas. Both were excellent! The Basil Daisy Margherita was like no other Margherita we've ever had. Highly recommend it. Josue was an excellent bartender and we enjoyed visiting with him. Good luck at WSU Josue!
