Nice Stop for Lunch

We were wandering around Whidbey Island, tasting wine and decided we needed lunch so we stopped at this restaurant on the main street in Langley. A good choice. I had the best fish and chips I have had in a long while, and a good serving of it, too. My wife had crab cakes which she thoroughly... read more

We didn't have reservations, but were happily squeezed in anyway. It seemed that a lot of locals were there; I tend to see that as a good sign. Very good food, good wine selection. I remember thinking that our waitress was very very busy, but managed to NOT show it one darn bit in her interactions with us. Classy.

We've been going to Cafe Langley for many years (about fifteen) and I always order the same - Chicken Marekesh, my favorite, along with a Greek salad and a chilled glass of white wine. The staff always have a ready smile no matter how busy they are. This restaurant has a delightful decor, very cozy and clean and a genuine... More

Lunch special: Penn cove mussels with penna in a sauce was to die for! Might have been all that garlic.. the gryo salad was great too. Glad we didn't choose primo bistro altho it might have been just as good.

The food was very good and the staff was friendly (and accommodated a few small changes) but we weren't served our meals until over an hour after we arrived even though there were only two other tables seated at the time. Also, an extra $4 charge if you ask to have a salad with dinner INSTEAD of the standard rice... More

We had a good meal here (lamb shank for one and vegetarian pasta for other). Food was good and service casual and friendly, but attentive. This is a small place with perhaps 15 tables, would be my guess. Cocktails were available. Overall, a non-pretentious place with a comfortable atmosphere and good food. Just right after walking the beach or the... More

A small place, specializing in Greek and Middle Eastern food so decided to go that route. There were three of us - one had the vegetarian plate and enjoyed it; but pita bread not that substantial - though portions of the different foods in the entree were good. I tried the mixed grill which was chicken and lamb; should have... More

We arrived late and thought we would have to settle for pub grub but there was room here and we couldn't have been happier. The waitress quickly cleaned a recently vacated table so we could enjoy the view. The place is cozy but spacious with antique furniture and rustic touches. I noticed the glass panels were custom done. A fusion... More

On a rainy and cool spring day, it was cozy and warm inside the Cafe Langley. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. My husband had the sole Florentine and I had that day's special, chicken with a lemon cream sauce. Both meals started with a Greek salad that was very fresh and tasty. Our meals came with a good... Of the many times my wife and i have visited Cafe Langley, we've never been disappointed. Friendly staff, excellent Mediterranean food, good selection of beers, quaint in many ways. It would be difficult to say how they could improve. If there's seating, you've got a chance to enjoy one of the nicest restaurants on the island.
