Excellent service, good food

On a rainy and cool spring day, it was cozy and warm inside the Cafe Langley. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. My husband had the sole Florentine and I had that day's special, chicken with a lemon cream sauce. Both meals started with a Greek salad that was very fresh and tasty. Our... read more

Lunch special: Penn cove mussels with penna in a sauce was to die for! Might have been all that garlic.. the gryo salad was great too. Glad we didn't choose primo bistro altho it might have been just as good.

The food was very good and the staff was friendly (and accommodated a few small changes) but we weren't served our meals until over an hour after we arrived even though there were only two other tables seated at the time. Also, an extra $4 charge if you ask to have a salad with dinner INSTEAD of the standard rice... More

We had a good meal here (lamb shank for one and vegetarian pasta for other). Food was good and service casual and friendly, but attentive. This is a small place with perhaps 15 tables, would be my guess. Cocktails were available. Overall, a non-pretentious place with a comfortable atmosphere and good food. Just right after walking the beach or the... More

A small place, specializing in Greek and Middle Eastern food so decided to go that route. There were three of us - one had the vegetarian plate and enjoyed it; but pita bread not that substantial - though portions of the different foods in the entree were good. I tried the mixed grill which was chicken and lamb; should have... More

We arrived late and thought we would have to settle for pub grub but there was room here and we couldn't have been happier. The waitress quickly cleaned a recently vacated table so we could enjoy the view. The place is cozy but spacious with antique furniture and rustic touches. I noticed the glass panels were custom done. A fusion... More

Of the many times my wife and i have visited Cafe Langley, we've never been disappointed. Friendly staff, excellent Mediterranean food, good selection of beers, quaint in many ways. It would be difficult to say how they could improve. If there's seating, you've got a chance to enjoy one of the nicest restaurants on the island.

I stopped in about a half hour before closing and I was promptly seated, but not rushed. I had a salad (delicious), the mussels (heavenly), and for dessert, baklava - my first and I'm addicted now! They give you plenty of pita to eat with butter or in my case, to dip in the sauce that comes with your mussels!... More

I ordered the Mediterranean plate. See photo. It was good. Gyro, chicken, shrimp. The shrimp was just OK. Cheese, olives and pita bread. Also is served with a side of rice and vegetables. My wife ordered eggplant moussaka. See said it was a little too much cheese for her taste. But the if you like lots of cheese it might... More

Good variety of food in a Mediterranean retaurant. I was able to eat dairy and gluten free with no fuss. Katya our waitress was professional and friendly. Very enjoyable dinner.
