Great Bakery

We bought a small loaf of seeded bread and found it to be excellent. Other pastries and breads looked great.

I wandered into P S Suisse and now I have a standing order every Friday night while I'm on the island. Oh how I shall miss these delectable pastries when I go home. I've tried nearly everything and not once been disappointed. My favorites include the Cream Horns, Strawberry Napoleon, Almond Pinwheel/Croissant, and Roman Apple Tort. Just to name a... More

This bakery is at the back of a small area of businesses, #221 2nd street I think. OMG, the selection of pastries was fabulous. I had the pear open tart, my husband had sponge cake covered in marzipan. Nothing was left on the plate at the end. We had coffee and the cakes in the small shop, it was obvious... More

If you want pastry that will melt in your mouth, run, don't walk to P.S. Suisse. You can also find a small luncheon area offering soups, sandwiches and daily specials.

I picked up some pear tarts to serve as dessert for a dinner party. They were delicious -- light pastry crust, not too sweet, and two were ample to cut up for a party of four. I was glad that I finally stumbled upon a time when the shop was open. I've been by there numerous times when they are... More

The freshest pastries, and chocolate delights. If there on Friday, order the Schnitzel…it's delicious!

P S Suisse is now open: Weds-Sat only. I have enjoyed the bread, pastries and lunch items for years. Never disappointed. World class chocolates!

Hopefully this one will open again in the spring, but not looking hopeful. A traditional Swiss pastry show with all the usual acrouterments (sp?). They also had very complex, European lunches that were high on my rating list and I am very critical. Hopefully we will see them again later in the year.

Sitting in the corner of a little mall of second street it's hard to find but well worth trying. Their Friday wienersnitzel menu absolute worth a try. And don't forget the yummy European cakes. If you're too full bring home the dessert.

Peter is a craftsman, takes pride in his work and all he makes is delicious. The pastries are not too sweet, and full of flavor. The custom chocolates he makes for the holidays ( Easter & Christmas) just can't get enough! If you are in Langley, it is definitely worth a stop.. ( Hazelnut bread & walnut cranberry breads are...
