Like Coffee? Like Relaxing Outside? Like a quaint seaside town? Then this is your place. The service was great and the coffee and specialty coffee drinks were excellent. The store has a wide selection of top quality used books as well as a selection of books to read while you are enjoying your coffee. While on Whidbey, you must stop... More

When in Langley make sure you grab a coffee (and icecream!) at this place mainly maintained by volunteers - it's worth it! You can also dig into the used book selection offered at very reasonably prices...buy one, sip your coffee (or tea) and sit in the outside garden to read. Don't miss the tiny "nature protection area" located on the... More

Good coffee and they have a great selection of used books. Too tempting to buy lots. Great that they are a job training site also. Have a good cup of coffee and support the community.

The SWC is a casual, clean, comfortable spot to have a great cup of coffee and a simple nosh. The menu is kept simple so that youth can learn excellence while gaining experience. The used bookstore and coffeehouse offer a place for teens to learn customer service and retail management. What a gift from the community to support families and... More

I do like this place. The interior is clean and inviting. The books are well priced. The coffee service is complete and is mostly done right. I have only had one menu item, the breakfast bacon wrap, and it was delicious. The baked goods - meh. More effort needs to made in this department. This is a training program for... More

Wonderful, warm atmosphere in the heart of Langley. Hang out, read books, drink coffee and have a snack. Great place for young people and taking in a little sun on their beautifully planted terrace

This place is welcoming as well as great food and coffee. They help teach kids how to work in a food place as well as barista and they do a really really great job at both. I have had to bring back my coffee and they thanked me and made me another asap. Worth a stop and if you need... More

I am always curious when a place self proclaims it's self "a community hearth" or "Community builder" I really don't mean to be mean, but with two small children in tow I didn't want or need to wait 15 minutes for the manager to show the very cute teen trying to make coffee. Everybody was very pleasant but compared to... More

Enjoy walking thorough this area on a sunny summer day. There are lots of shops and interesting places to duck into. I especially like the used bookstore and their food fare.
