Great soups!

We were hungry and craving a warm bowl of soup - so the Clover Patch had two different soups: cream of chicken, and steak and barley. It was just the right thing, served with two handfuls of crackers. For dessert we shared a serving of bread pudding - good for the soul!

They have the best breakfast on the Island. There are so many items to choose from and the portions are huge. We eat there at least once a month. It is a wonderful family restaurant.

My husband had a craving for liver and onions and this is the only local place where that could happen. His were fine and came with some rather nice bacon. I wasn't too inspired, but finally ordered the NY steak with prawns with mashed potatoes sans the gravy. It also came with a nice salad and green beans (which were... More

We stopped the other day and asked for one of their breakfast sandwiches to go and they stated that since they were busy (not all tables were full) that they couldn't help us. Thought that was strange as it seems to me it would take less time to make a sandwich to go as to wait on a table.

Typical diner-type menu. Lots of tables so no waiting (that I've seen). Plenty of room to spread out w friends for a long visit and no hassles from the staff if you want to do that. Friendly service.

Recent remodeling of this restaurant makes for an enjoyable experience at this long time local favorite. The menu hasn't changed much but the interior is much improved. I have to say on my most recent visit for dinner soon after reopening the service was pretty slow but they were busy and the wait person was new so that was most... More

We couldn't believe Neil's jaw-dropping new remodel job! Booths, ultra-clean laminated floors and silver gray historic wall photos give the place an ambience it never had before. Same menu we've enjoyed for the 9 years we've loved on Whidbey Island--a 3-course dinner for very reasonable prices, great specials. They try to serve locally grown products. Now it's nice enough to... More

Neils is on our rotation of restaurants. I have to say their milkshakes (home made) and their burgers keep me coming back. Service is lacking due to turn over in their wait staff, but sometimes you just need a great strawberry milkshake!

Going to or from the Ferry at Clinton, this is a great place to stop for breakfast. All your favorites, diner style comfort food. The best and tastiest fried eggs. They have specials every day. Often they have specialty pancakes. They have some of the best high grade bacon and bread (yes I said bread) from local businesses. Not greasy,... More
