Huge menu and good

Hawks Prairie has been open for many decades and is still doing a good job. This time we stopped with my mother. My mother had the Petite Entree Chicken Friend Steak and ate it all. My wife had Chicken Madeira and also liked it. I had the HP 10oz Ranch Steak and also enjoyed it.

The service is great here and the place was packed this was impressive! I ordered the lite calorie item, it is what it is. Lol. Lite calorie, not that impressive, no fault of the restaurant. I was envious of my neighbors plate biscuits and gravy, should have ordered that!

I love this place for breakfast--any time of the day. However, their standard dinner menu while not very imaginative has items on it that you dont see very often any more. Like pork chops, they have them even for breakfast. We even went on mother's day--they took a reservation. Food is always good quality, good amount, not imaginative but think... More

When we moved to the area 35 years ago, the restaurant was new. It has always been a comfortable place to eat. Breakfasts have been a special favorite. Lots of food, well prepared. Dinners seem to be expanding in offering. A recent dinner of prime rib was cooked to order. Especially welcome were the choices of side dishes; vegetables were... More

We went there for the first time on Mothers Day. We thought they had a brunch, so we're disappointed when there wasn't and was even tempted to leave. There was a group of 13 of us and decided to stay. We were pleasantly impressed. We all picked a wide variety and sampled each other's meals. Food was delicious! We were... More

I have stopped at Hawks Prairie for more years then I want to remember. When it first opened it was a truck stop, then as new development surrounded it the counter went away and it morphed into what it is today. As I have been traveling off and on for the past few weeks I just could not force my-self... More

This restaurant has a varied menu and a great place to get a hearty meal. I visit it at least once per month. Not fancy - but a great place to eat!

Had a broad menu, served breakfast late. We had a broad spread and were all completely satisfied. Kids had mac n cheese and mini pizzas. Their fries were delicious for some unique reason that i still can't figure out. I had a mushroom burger and wife had fish n chips. Burger wasn't huge, but a good size and tasted great.... More

Neighborhood favorite for seniors, families and bikers. Handy, right off exit 111. Large portions, plan on sharing.
