Great menu but quite spendy...

Went there to celebrate husband's birthday. With reservations we were seated in a strange corner table next to windows but right next to a very loud table of 6. The place was packed so nowhere to move to. Made best of it. Menu has nice variety but quite spendy. Food quality was redeeming... read more

A great menu, fresh food thoughtfully and carefully prepared, good service and a picturesque setting on the river in La Conner. This delightful restaurant is worth going out of your way for and, if you are visiting La Conner, not to be missed. One small criticism: espresso is served in earthenware cups which dissipate the heat from the coffee in... More

This is easily the best restaurant in LaConner. We had the endive salad and the baked salmon. Perfection! We have been here many times and they never fail to live up to our expectation.

I was disappointed at how salty my meal was. My mothers was too! And it took FOREVER to get any food!!! People only go here because they don't know about the Oyster and Thistle! Not very good food :(

We have been here several times before for lunch and have always enjoyed it. This was the first time we have been here for dinner. We had the salmon and the seafood pasta. Salmon was cooked perfectly - just cooked through and not dry. Excellent sauce. Seafood pasta was simple and tasty - light wine sauce with pepper flakes but... More

Wonderful fresh local fare - great service and nice atmosphere. My husband and I stopped in on a whim mid-afteroon on a Saturday and had a wonderful meal. We shared an order of chicken wings which were perfectly seasoned and amazingly crunchy, followed by a belgian endive salad for him, and a tossed salad with a side of garlic prawns... More

I've eaten here three or four times and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it is so popular. I had clams the first time and they were very, very salty. Had the crab cakes another time and they were OK. Just haven't been impressed enough to go back.

Consistently great food, mostly locally sourced ingredients. Menu specials are always a good choice to try. Waterfront seating seasonally is a real bonus. Friendly staff. And such a quaint little town of shops to walk and enjoy.

We were very well cared for when we were seated for a late dinner. The bistro was quite loud and we promptly asked is we could move do to a hearing challenge for the both of us. The staff got us moved right away and provide excellent service throughout the meal. The King salmon and duckling were great.

This is clearly a popular place for dinner; when we left at 8.45pm it was still going strong and as we walked back to the hotel, we walked past other restaurants that had already closed. I'm a picky eater, and had problems with the menu. Everything on it seemed to end up with one thing included that I didn't like,... More
