The salmon salad was terrific. Very flavorful, moist salmon accompanied golden beets and generous portion of well-dressed salad greens. Tasty and healthy, both. My husband's shoestring potatoes didn't have a smidgen of extra oil and he reviewed his lamb burger positively. The fries were truly outstanding.

We were visiting La Conner for the weekend and tried the lamb burgers here and they were the best we have had in long time. Service was very good and we felt relaxed. Nicely presented, fresh dishes. We will be back!

This was the first restaurant that we walked by after first arriving in La Conner. We were hungry and it looked nice so we went inside. It was quite busy but we were seated fairly quickly at a table with a beautiful view of the water. All of the food was locally grow. The menu was small but very interesting... More

Apparently Nell Thorn is a locals favorite and had been around for quite a few years. It is in a new location by the waterfront. The atmosphere is upscale casual. You get a sense of quality without an attitude. We stopped in during happy hour & shared an order of the crispy wings. They are, as the menu states, spicy,... More

Highly overpriced. $15 for a rueben sandwich, though they dont' call it that. Oyster chowder wasn't any better than any other chowder I've had. All the food is organic though, so I suppose that is why the prices are so high. Fries were good, home made, and stayed crunchy even after they got cold. Doubt I'll ever go back, just... More

The cocktails were very nice, the food was fine, not amazing. The oysters I ordered had a lot of shell in them (maybe a new person was shucking?). I liked the beers on tap, and the decor was really pretty, a little fancy, but really pretty. I also really enjoyed the noise level--not hard to hear in a big group... More

My partner and I drove up from Bothell to LaConner to have dinner at Nell Thorn for our anniversary. We had read great reviews and it was such a beautiful day for a drive. We have eaten at many great restaurants all over the Pacific NW but this was really such a wonderful meal in such a surprising place. We... More

We were looking forward to a drink in the sun on their deck. Even though it was 5:00 pm on a sunny day, we were strongly discouraged form eating out there because it was " too cold". For us or for the servers? We found the volume of the music along with the TV in the bar a bit much.... More

Love it here. The food is always local, fresh and excellent. One of my favorite places in town. And now it's on the water. They did leave a quaint previous location, but the new location is an upgrade for their customers and staff.

The place is noisy and the prices are fairly high. The food is above average and the view (If you can get a favored place) is good.
