A quick Lunch

We like coming here, the food is pretty good, the service is good and the beer selection is great. The live music is hit and miss, it can be fabulous or not so fabulous.

Stopped by for a late lunch. Our intent was to share a Caesar salad, and a Cod and chips. It was "happy hour", so I had a nice draft ale. George, our waiter suggested we order from the bar menu. We each ordered a bar Caesar salad, and the bar version of fish and chips. Less money, without coleslaw. This... More

The deck is the best part of Wilde Rover. Wines by the glass are very pedestrian and lack imagination. Yes, beers are the primary focus, I know, but one doesn't always want a beer. Their quesadilla is interesting in that it is presented in a potato pancake, which is not really as quesadilla. Why not call it something else so... More

Last time I was in this dark pub was for a company event several years ago. Anyone can pour beer but my wife and I walked by on a sunny Sunday and thought that the large menu might work for a decent brunch. Wrong - I ordered the corned beef hash which obviously wasn't fresh, tasted and even smelled old... More

Recommended by a friend, we had dinner here. It was a typical pub you would find in Euope, combination bar and restaurant. I ordered a drink before dinner with a dash of bitters. I didn't realize there was more than one type - Angostura. They had 8 or 9 different bitters. I ordered fish (halibut) and chips, normally not a... More

George, cooking you the best fish and chips you've ever had is the best compliment we can get, so thanks to you and your wife for stopping in and letting us give you a taste of Europe. We're always happy to throw a little insight on a meal, too -- in this case the variety of bitters. Anyway, stop in... More

Dark and woody, this establishment offers authentic Irish pub experience, with friendly service and good fare. The creamy non-bitterness of the Guinness was a delight. This famous beer is also notorious (stateside) for being stored and/or pulled improperly, resulting in a flat, bitter mess that makes one wince at the first sip. Having been to Dublin and experienced the wonder... More

Roger, you know your Guinness, so thanks for imparting a good deal of love and appreciation for the old blonde in the black dress. We like her too -- a little too much, sometimes, but we never let it get in our way of emulating our Irish forbears and all their storing and pulling wisdom. Make sure you stop back... More

Came here with family on Wednesday night for dinner and trivia. A fun place pub style with a varied mostly American with some Irish flavor mixed in. Delicious no mater what we had and the staff could not do enough for us. Large bar with all sorts of spirits wines, national and local beers on tap.. The trivia was a blast... More

Went to listen to the band that was playing, but wound up having a very nice dinner also. Only complaint, bread not included with meal.

Having spent three weeks in Kirkland with many restaurants from which to choose, the Rover was favorite. It had all the trimmings of any Irish pub in the US and added a terrific menu and a large selection of beers on tap including Smithwick's and Harp. A most relaxing atmosphere and a relatively large menu allowed a diner to choose... More
