Hole in the wall health food

This place is very small and easy to miss. The owners are an old Asian couple who also run the place. It is all vegetarian and vegan food. When you order, "mama" is the one who cuts your veggies fresh and cooks your food at her tiny little stove behind the counter. The food is good and prepared... read more

Visited solo on a cold December evening. The owner offered me a cup of complementary green tea while I waiting on my sandwich. All tasted fresh and homemade. Thank you, will be back with friends!

I went to this place full of expectations as to what great vegan food in Kirkland could/would be all about. I was disappointed. I ordered a soup that was vegan, but had no real flavor. It is a shame. The people and the restaurant are kind of cool. Maybe I simply caught them on a bad day or I ordered... More

I love this place for Veggie food. #9 is die for. It is an elderly husband and wife who run this place. The place is not fancy but it has a happy feel. The owners are really great and treat the customers really well. All in all --- Happy experiences

This cafe is owned by a couple who were also vegetarians. Foods were wonderful and clean. It was family-like and I will definitely go back again during my next visit.

This is a great little hole in the wall place in downtown Kirkland. Fairly large menu of vegetarian dishes, mainly with tofu, or varieties of tofu. Their mapo-tofu is great. They have one table and several against the wall bar chairs. They have ice cream in the summers and a large variety of excellent bubble teas.

As a vegetarian, I want to support vegetarian food in as many places as I can. And this is probably the only veggie place in the whole of Kirkland. So it makes me sad that the food here is barely ok. I got the sweet and sour. The sauce had a nice taste to it and the "beef" is good.... More

I found Cafe Happy when I was staying at the Heathman Hotel in Kirkland. They are just a few blocks apart. Cafe Happy offers a variety of stirf ry dishes using tofu and other soy-like products. I have eaten there several times and tried many of their dishes. My favorite is 27 (soy-chicken and brocolli). All of the dishes I... More
