Description: The 39 year tradition carries on at one of the Northwest's most revered neighborhood establishments. Join us for classic comfort food, prepared from the freshest ingredients, served by a friendly wait staff that makes out-of-towners feel like regulars, and regulars feel like home. The Sunday brunch with our classic Eggs Benedict isn't just a menu item - it's a local institution. Or drop in for a drink in front of the 114-year old carved mahogany bar back, and imagine the stories it could tell you. The original brickwork and cozy fireplaces are still here. So is the longstanding tradition of great food with unparalleled friendly service. We intend to keep it up for at least another 39 years to come. You're welcome anytime, and we'll keep the fire going for you!

We love to claim a spot in front of one of the fireplaces in the cooler months, or a spot on one of the two decks for great car and people watching. We have a dog, and the deck on the back or north-east side of the building is dog-friendly.

3 generations, and food to fit everyone's needs. I found their signature dish dungeness mac 'n cheese light on the dungeness and a bit fishy, and definitely not worth the $20 price tag, in my opinion. The macaroni was cooked to perfection, but they didn't drain it quite enough, so it was watery when you bit into it. The flavor... More

We shared three appies for dinner and a glass of wine each. The appies: seared ahi, lettuce wraps and crab chowder were great. Wonderful flavours. I had the creme brulee for desert - unfortunately it was mocha flavoured - I would have preferred traditional but it was OK. Good value for the money.

We like to go out for breakfast every Sunday morning and this is one of our favorite places. The food is good, wait staff wonderful and it's close to home. We have also eaten lunch here in the summer on the huge patio. Lunch is typical cafe food, but very good.

I've gone here and had terrible food, and I've tried again to be pleasantly surprised. It seems to be hit or miss on the quality of service and quality of food. Not consistent enough for me to want to be a regular here.

We went to Hector's by chance and it was a winning bet. Went on a Saturday for bunch, the place was busy but amazingly quiet. Started out with a cinnamon roll, thinking it would be your regular size roll, wrong, this baby was HUGE! And very tasty, fluffy pastry and real cream cheese frosting. We next had omelets that were... More

This review is only about breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast at Hector's so much that we went back the next day and ordered the same items again. We even had the same waitress who also remembered us and what we had ordered. She was terrific. I loved the Eggs Benedict Florentine (hollandaise on the side). My husband thought their steel-cut... This was out first time here. Parking is provided but given the location can be tight. We lucked out and found street parking right out front in a Fri night. Waited 10 mins for a table, ordered the crispy chicken and chipotle BBQ burger with yam fries. The chicken was just ok. Nothing great and the chicken was a bit... More

My friend and I stopped into Hector's hoping for a nice lunch. What we got was grilled sandwiches totally soaked with grease and a ridiculous wait of ten minutes at the register waiting to pay our bill. We will not return.

We have gone to Hectors the last two Sunday's, and let me tell you, save yourself the headache. The food is marginal, at best. The service is by far the worst I have ever had. We have had the displeasure of having Mary as our server, and let me tell you, she is rude, and seems like she doesn't care... More
