My wife and I loved the appetizers, but struggled with the rest of the meal. We ordered water with no ice and were presented with an expensive bottle of water. We had no idea what was on the menu, as everything was in French. We felt claustrophobic with tables aligned in a row with little space between them.

Pretty nice, good food, definitely recommended. Lovely for couples, even families. Evening probably best.

The appetizers were the best of the bunch. The main courses were only good, not great. Deserts were good and the coffee was excellent. I don't know, maybe I am spoiled by living in the metropolitan New York City area, but I thought that the overall experience did not live up to the reviews and subsequent expectations.

It's tucked away on a narrow side street in Kirkland. The ambiance is understated elegance. The service is solid. The food is... perfection. This really is the best restaurant in the area, and naturally it is not inexpensive. But all things considered, I would still say that Cafe Juanita is worth every penny. My only complaint is the shortage of... More

This restaurant tucked away in Kirkland has been a dining destination for decades. It deserves 5-stars for the consistency of the kitchen, the very professional service, and its extensive wine list. Holly Smith and her team prepare delicious, richly-flavored entrees. Nothing on the menu is nouveau or has crazy ingredients included. Chops may be served with well-reduced, rich sauces; octopus... This is the kind of place that you would go for a special occasion without the kids. Budget on about $100 per person including a cocktail and desert. The food is most excellent. The cuisine is Northern Italian, you won't find too many red sauces or a baked ziti here. Expect rabbit, lamb and beef dishes all prepared excellently. The... More

This little unassuming spot in Juanita is a hidden gem! Great wine options. Phenominal food! Great service. Great date or double-date spot!

While Café Juanita isn't within Seattle City Limits, it is certainly one of the jewels in Seattle's Restaurant Crown. Chef Holly Smith works magic with her menu, producing mouth-watering dishes to please even the most discriminating palate. Her dishes are imaginatively conceived and beautifully executed using only the best of ingredients. I love eating at Café Juanita because I have... More

Wow -- what a disappointment. What could have been a fantastic experience failed on nearly every measure. Plenty of wait staff, lots of chefs in the kitchen, not terribly crowded. But the seating arrangements are abysmal... vinyl bench seating on one side (at least 6" too low) and they put me on the crack in between two sections. Not very... More

I first visited Café Juanita in December, 2013 for a friend's birthday and I thought it was great. The food, the atmosphere, the portions, everything. On that evening, I ordered the rabbit, which is one of their signature dishes. I loved Café Juanita so much I wanted to bring my husband there, so I made a reservation for my birthday... More
