I have been eating here for about 5 years and it is the best Chinese food in all of Kent! The staff is very friendly and efficient. I moved away about 20 miles. I still make the drive to Kent to eat at China Star!!

I was staying at the Best Western Plus next door. Very friendly staff with your normal Asian cuisine. I sat in the bar area. The locals that were frequenting the location of this Friday afternoon were very welcoming. They had brought brownies to the bar in honor of something and invited me to join with them in partaking. They also... More

I was told at the neighboring Best Western reception that China Star is a good Chinese restaurant. I was too busy to look further, and ordered a take-out dish that is not on the menu. The taste was fresh and good enough. If in this area again, I'd return for the convenience. It might be more pleasant to have a... More

Stayed in the B/W Inn next door; played golf; walked to the China Star. Food was simply not very good. We had the Sweet and Sour Pork and Orange Chicken dinners ($11.95 each). Sweet and Sour Pork - average. Orange Chicken, like nothing we had ever had - heavily breaded (our experience is stir fried chicken with hot peppers and... More

We ordered a meal for three which ended up being far too much to finish with three of us. The food was good. Not great but definitely hot and fresh. I recommend ordering a meal for two and an extra soup rather than ordering for three if you are getting the family style meals

Brought a party of twelve here for an early dinner on short notice to the restaurant. They accommodated us nicely. Overlooks a golf course. Large menu and we chose several items which we all shared. Consensus = excellent ! Ambiance is good for a group like ours or for a twosome. One of our group (Asian), living in Kent recommended... More

We stayed at the Best Western next door and decided to give this restaurant a try. The food was good, service was excellent, and we had enough to take home for dinner the next night. If we return to Kent, we would eat there again.

Honestly even the better Chinese restaurants usually have dry rice, inferior cuts of meat and a little too much grease. I had general tso's chicken and my partner in crime had kung pao chicken. So mine was breaded his was not. This was the combinatiin dinner with BBQ pork (3 slices), fried prawns (2), fried or steamed rice, vegetable egg... More

Great food, very large selection of dishes. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Also, the service was great and it was overlooking a beautiful golf course.

We went here because the restaurant was next door to the motel where we were staying. The reviews were less exciting but we tried it anyway. We rate the place average at best. Not deserving of an upward thumb.
