The hubby and I were really in the mood for some authentic southern-style BBQ tonight, like the kind we used to get in South Carolina and Texas. I looked up some local BBQ joints (and their reviews) and I found BBQ Pete's. Thank goodness I did because this place was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I literally could not stop making little sounds of... More

I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Ribs are tasty but fatty, as is the brisket. Pork is the safest bet. Chicken is indistinct. Having the sauces warm is a nice touch, but the hot isn't very - maybe 2 star if it were Thai. Cornbread is great and beans and fries are pretty good. Overall, a... More

I've had BBQ all over the country, and thought "Why not" . I heard decent reviews and read good things. Since I'm at the hotel near there, I walked over and gave it a shot. Short Story - Service is slow, food is mediocre and incredibly overpriced. The brisket was fatty and dry, but the chicken was moist and good.

It was very good, they had sold out of ribs, a big disappointment but the guy said they had a run on ribs on a Sunday night, not much you can do about that. The brisket and chicken were awesome though. The fries were really good and they had free soft serve for desert. My daughter loved making her own... More

We have come here many times. The service is very friendly and helpful. We have eaten in the restaurant and had take out. The side dishes are awesome! The chicken is very moist and it's half a chicken. Husband usually has the brisket. Most times it's really good, but a couple of times it was very dry and fatty. Very... More

I've passed by Pete's several times when I would frequent the Starbucks near it. I just never had the desire to check it out, but after reading rave reviews, and the Best Of Washington awards Pete's have received, I thought why not. I don't feel like cooking dinner, and I'll drive 15mins to enjoy some good BBQ. My daughter wanted... More

We really love this place. They have large enough combos to share, depending on how much you can eat. My favorite is the chicken and my husband's favorite was all of it. The have cold beer to go along with it. The self serve ice cream is on the counter and its free, help yourself. They also do take out.

Side dishes were very good, better than the ribs, service was very good, ribs were dry and not saucy like I like them. A little overpriced for blah ribs IMO.

I've been here 4 times. Until today, it was excellent. Arrived on foot from my hotel at 6:50 pm--they are open til 8. No other guests were present. I was greeted with "we're out if most of our entrees. We just ran out of everything. Then I was told they could come up with chicken if I wanted to wait... More

Thanks for your repeated business and feedback. I'm sorry this recent experience was not great like you'd had before. For what it's worth, please allow me to explain the circumstances that evening. This was the first Sunday Mother's Day we have ever been open for. We planned for a busy day, but it turned out to be even busier than... More
