Not what I was hoping for

I have driven past this landmark for decades, and used to stop when in my younger days. Decided to pop in on a whim, hoping for a nice memory of youth. It was not anything like I recalled. It was VERY BUSY, which is great for them. But could have used more staff. I was remembering the old days... read more

Distressingly bad even for junk 'food.' I ordered a root beer freeze (that's a float blended together) for a staggering $6+ and was served a creamy flavorless goop covered with a huge pile of whipped topping that they called cream (it;s not) and that tastes like plasticene. Sugar and fillers. Could not really taste any rootbeer, just goop. Given the... More

We discovered this place while driving around looking for a post office. As soon as we saw this restaurant we knew we had to stop. We're glad we did. The burgers were good, hot and large. The fries were tasty and hot too. The place is a museum of car "stuff"; including engines. We weren't there for a car show... More

If you are old enough to remember drive ins, good creamy root beer, and the kinda hamburger that has the juices running down your arm then you will like this restaurant. Lots and lots of local memorabilia on the walls. A 426 Hemi on an engine stand in the middle of the dinning room. What more could a motor-head want?

Overpriced greasy food in a dirty atmosphere. The food was not edible and the rootbeer floats were made with soft serve. We asked if it was possible to get a plate of rings that weren't burnt and they walked away.

I had never been to the XXX but had heard about it. at first glance there are tables outside, under shade trees and the big XXX Barrel. It reminded me of the TV Show Happy Days. Inside the is an overkill of memorabilia of everything from cars, license plates, photos,.... EVERYTHING... (it makes for great conversation....) Most people with me... More

Only go for a root beer to take out. The root beer was exceptional. Do not get the root beer float unless you like soft serve ice cream. We ordered a hamburger with onion rings. The place was not busy and it took 20 minutes to get our meal. We were there about 3:30 in the afternoon. The wait staff... More

We were told to wait at a table and theyd be right there to serve us. 30 minutes later we inquired about being served. They said, "You're probably better off just ordering to-go at the counter since im busy". So we did that. All four of our orders were wrong (missing ingredients). My burger was really poorly made. My brother... More

How can this be? It all depends on what you order...the cheeseburgers are bad....the first time I ate one, I thought they had a new line cook....who overcooked the patty and pressed all the juices out of it...the second time I ate a cheeseburger, I wasn't even sure it was beef.... not good...not good at all The milkshakes are excellent........ This diner has a very interesting atmosphere - the memorabilia collection is impressive although anyone over 5'6" tall (like me at 6'6") is going to have difficulties walking inside the restaurant portion as the things hanging from the ceiling impede progress dramatically. The cleanliness and safety of the restaurant is also questionable with the thousands of memorabilia pieces being dust... More
