Excellent Chinese Food

Six of us dined here recently and enjoyed the excellent service and reasonably priced entrees. Each of us ordered a different entree and sampled from the generous portions. Honey crisp prawns with walnuts was my favorite and the barley noodles were delicious. Noise level, even on a Friday night, allowed for table conversation without shouting.

The food at Shanghai Garden is always delicious, service is fast and friendly and pricing is fair. The hand shaved noodles are a treat as is the house special fried rice. My favorite order is cashew chicken...a very generous serving of both tender, flavorful chicken (not breaded) and whole cashews. The lunch specials are a real bargain. Servings are large,... More

Sometimes it is best to check the reviews prior to dropping in! With all the excellent choices that exist in today's restaurant options why find yourself with average at best. Confused menu, weak recommendations is not the norm, especially when it is so easy to find better options. Nice people but that doesn't make for great eating.

Shanghai Garden Restaurant has been a local fixture for a long time. It has a very large menu so there are plenty of options to please a wide range of people. Everyone will find a few favorites. I recommend the Barley Green Hand-shaven Noodles. You can get them with your choice of meat. We also like the Prawns with Sweet... More

Have eaten many, many times. is one of our favorite places in the region. The food is always excellent and well prepared. Customer service is wonderful. I once ordered a meal the include using avocado. The waiter asked if i could wait a few minutes. they were out of avocados and had sent someone across the street to find fresh... More

We always loved Shanghai Garden. Reliable good food and service. Orange beef with veggies, hand shaven noodles with veggies, chicken with cranberry sauce and popcorn chicken with basil were our top favorites. Service is decent, too. So why 3 stars? 1) Ambience could be better for sure; 2) high prices. We last went there a couple of weeks ago and... More

We are repeat diners who have never been disappointed. There are lots of restaurants serving Asian food in the Seattle area, and this is as good as any.

There is authenticity here and that makes for interesting options for dinner. There are all the expected dishes as well so no need to be concerned if you aren't too adventurous. The staff is really friendly and if you are in a hurry the food comes out quick. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, everything was delicious!! We will return soon!!

A stand by in downtown Issaquah. A large dining room with an attentive staff that is highly efficient. Parking is public parking behind Main Street. The hand shaved noodles are delicious. A great selection for a work lunch.
