Steaks 5 stars--quality, tasty, and fairly priced. Salads 3.5 stars--slightly above average and slightly overpriced Staff 5 stars--helpful and knowledgeable Management 2 stars or lower. The policy is not to seat anyone until everyone arrives which is fine except when you come early to avoid the crowd and have a pregnant woman who needs to sit; actually, the manager was... More

Jak's is a culinary secret that's great to share with friends and family. And why not – their steaks are great and the atmosphere is pure country calm in tranquil Issaquah. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, then here's the place to relax with beef and brew.

So the first time we went there the service was not very good and the place was filthy! We complained to the management and they responded nicely. We tried it again on a weekend for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised due to the first visit but the service was excellent and the food outstanding! Not sure of the cleanliness as... More

From the outside it doesn't look like much then you get inside and it's cool. Kind of Cigar bar-ish...so I was pretty hopeful. I had the salmon special, I looked fantastic but was pretty buttery. Really masked the taste of "fresh salmon" in my opinion. Food price was a little steep for the quality. All in all, I'd give it... More

In a world where hamburgers include things like pineapple and peanut butter, there is something comforting about a well executed burger, made from freshly ground meat, perfectly cooked pink in the center, onion, lettuce and little else. Then, have it at happy hour for about $5, sitting at the bar, and you have an extraordinary burger, at a ridiculous price.... More

My review reflects my expectations. I ordered a 21day aged delmonico steak. Not that it was bad but certainly wasn't amazing as I was expecting. I frequent El Gaucho in Bellevue. They have similar "grades" of steak and I find theirs to clearly be better.

I eat at Jak's Grill a lot because the food is really good and well priced. Family friendly. The burgers are great, and we are never hungry after our meal.

I am generally not a red meat eater, but when we go out for a great meal or have friends in town, this is the go to place. Never had anything that wasn't terrific and even something as simple as the burger is worth the drive. Doesn't take reservations and I hate to wait, but I still find it my favorite... More

We went for our anniversary based on the recommendation of a coworker and weren't disappointed! Amazing steaks, wine selection and creme brulee. We were overdressed in our anniversary attire (he wore slacks, dress shirt and shoes; she wore a sexy dress and heels), but it was a comfortable casual vibe with groups of all ages in the high-backed booths. The... More
