Sadly, Ilwaco is a ghost town during the week this time of the year. We went into town on Monday and except one pizza place, there was no place to eat. We saw that two restaurants on the waterfront went our of business. Tuesday, OleBob's Seafood Market and Gallery was open. The clam chowder was very thick with some potatoes... More

Ilwaco Washington is a timeless working harbor town, near the 5 mile wide mouth of the Columbia River. Complete with a marine service facility abundant with various boats in stages of restoration All reminiscent of past simpler lifestyles, it maintains interest through several seasonal attractions, Long Beach Peninsula Rod Runs etc. Ole Bob's near the Ilwaco Harbor docks, allows diners... We stopped here for a quick bite and were glad we did! Its not fancy, its pretty basic but the food was great. We had the fish and chips and couldn't believe how fresh it was. There was no fishy taste at all. I've never had anything like it. The fries were crispy, the tartar sauce was perfect. We also... More

Chowder was the thickest I have ever had. Flavour was good but could have used a few more clams. Had the crab cakes. Delicious but a little salty. Loved the seaweed and the slaw. Husband had the seniors fish and chips. Large portions but no white vinegar for us Canadians.

Fish and chips is the name of the game here. A bit pricey for what you get, IMO. The place is a long way from luxury, and the service is okay. I got some good prawns in the fish market. I probably wouldn't go back again after two visits two years apart.

Fish market and restaurant combined. The halibut fish and chips are good but I recommend skipping the crab cakes. The back door of the restaurant opens up to the waterfront where the Saturday Farmers Market is held.

We had been told this would be a good place for fish and chips, but it smelled so bad we did not stay.

Usually a busy spot is a great indicator that the food will be good right? Not so with this place unfortunately. We placed our order at the counter and then had to clear the dirty dishes off a table to sit down, where's the staff to do this? The food took a while to arrive but I don't mind waiting... More

I'm not much for seafood but decided on the Fish N Chips. I fell in love with seafood at this little restaurant. Seriously amazing! Crab cakes weren't as amazing as they claim but do not pass up the fish here!

We were in seafood heaven at OleBob's and got to sit out on the deck overlooking the Ilwaco marina. My husband's cod & chips were outstanding. They were so flaky they were clearly fresh fish. I got fish tacos, real lemondade, and clam chowder, three of my favorite things and they were all great. The salsa was too spicy for... More
