nice chowder good portion sizes

Chowder was the thickest I have ever had. Flavour was good but could have used a few more clams. Had the crab cakes. Delicious but a little salty. Loved the seaweed and the slaw. Husband had the seniors fish and chips. Large portions but no white vinegar for us Canadians.

A little no-nonsense seafood market & restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices. We stopped for shrimp cocktail, and were surprised at the generous size & low price. We purchased TWO cocktail's for $5.00 & change (total!). They were fresh and tasty. We're heading back to the beach & will make OleBob's a regular stop. They are closed Tuesday's &... More

The Halibut is really good and fresh. The fries are good too, but could have cooked a little longer. The Clam Chowder is really good. I'd place it only behind 42nd St cafe and Castaways. .

Locals sent us to OleBob's. It wasn't so great for us because we don't like deep fried foods. BUT, it was the only place we found that used fresh (not frozen) seafood. They sell the seafood there. The location at the harbor is fun. The people were nice. Be sure and check their hours if you go during the winter... More

This is a small place near the harbor in Ilwaco. Not fancy, yet very good. The grilled tuna sandwich is da' bomb, and their clam chowder is very good, too. Only one lady was working while we were there (off-season); their service nonetheless was wonderful. We've visited Long Beach twice, and twice we've trekked into Ilwaco to have lunch at... More

Sadly, Ilwaco is a ghost town during the week this time of the year. We went into town on Monday and except one pizza place, there was no place to eat. We saw that two restaurants on the waterfront went our of business. Tuesday, OleBob's Seafood Market and Gallery was open. The clam chowder was very thick with some potatoes... More

Ilwaco Washington is a timeless working harbor town, near the 5 mile wide mouth of the Columbia River. Complete with a marine service facility abundant with various boats in stages of restoration All reminiscent of past simpler lifestyles, it maintains interest through several seasonal attractions, Long Beach Peninsula Rod Runs etc. Ole Bob's near the Ilwaco Harbor docks, allows diners... We stopped here for a quick bite and were glad we did! Its not fancy, its pretty basic but the food was great. We had the fish and chips and couldn't believe how fresh it was. There was no fishy taste at all. I've never had anything like it. The fries were crispy, the tartar sauce was perfect. We also... More

Fish and chips is the name of the game here. A bit pricey for what you get, IMO. The place is a long way from luxury, and the service is okay. I got some good prawns in the fish market. I probably wouldn't go back again after two visits two years apart.

Fish market and restaurant combined. The halibut fish and chips are good but I recommend skipping the crab cakes. The back door of the restaurant opens up to the waterfront where the Saturday Farmers Market is held.
