On every visit, it seems Mr. Lee is working behind the sushi bar, creating delicious sushi and sashimi and always greeting customers as they arrive and acknowledging regulars, of which there are many. Also very attentive to regulars is who I think is his wife? In any event, the service and food here is GREAT! A wonderful selection of all... More

Akasaka Japanese Restaurant is one of my all time favorite sushi restaurants. Excellent quality of sushi, large portions, fast service and they are open late 7 days a week. The Rainier & Space Needle rolls are fantastic.

I've eaten sushi all around the world, and Akasaka ranks at the top of the list anywhere and certainly the best I've ever tasted in WA. We enjoy the free appetizers, too. Our favorites include the toro, maguro, sake, himachi and tobiko nigri and the space needle, Alaskan and house rolls. They have private step down booths if you want... More

I rarely write two reviews about the same restaurant, but I just waned to say that the service is always great, the sashimi is top quality, and the presentation perfect! I never walk away hungry - they always bring out so many things to snack on while the entrée is being prepared. I love going to this place - I... More

I have been eating here for years. I remember when it was on the other side of 99 Mr.Lee the owner really cares about quality. It's always perfect the sushi is top notch and everything else is great too. I love the teriyaki chicken and sushi combo. If your looking for great Japanese food give this place a try.

We stopped by for lunch and I order the hwedupbap (sashimi over rice, veggie and pepper sauce). It was pretty disappointing. The fish was fresh and alright, bu the balance of everything else was off. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I haven't been here for dinner in over 10 years so I can't really comment on that.

Very personable, attentive service from this family-run restaurant. A great, authentic Japanese dining experience! The Sushi is awesome - you can sit and watch the owner prepare culinary works of art right in front of you, or sit in a private room and enjoy amazing food. The wine list is very limited, so just enjoy some green tea with the... More

At the request of one of my family members, we go here for almost every family get together. The food is always fresh and delicious. Regardless of your tastes, you will most certainly find a dish that you like here. We often do the hot pot style soup that comes with a metal bowl and its own candle. (You heat... More
